Depending on the situation really. Theres an old saying "if you love something let it go, if they come back it will be yours forever" Dont know if that was the answer you wanted :)
-
Love can be many things. Being generous in that regard is a good example.
-
To a certain extent.Caring more for anothers welfare than your own. There are many kinds of love.
-
I would rather put it this way: "Love is being the best you can be for other person"
-
Aye.. agreed.
-
Agree. Love is wanting the best for another person... even if that best means it might hurt you.
-
agree
-
I feel it is hard to define love in a sentence, but I think that total unselfishness is a very underlying principle... so yes.

50/50
-
Yes, because "the best" is ME.
-
Well, there is a lot more to love than JUST wanting the best for them, but I definitely agree that it is a significant part ... YES, agree ...
-
No, I don't agree. I think loving someone is putting that person's interests before your own, whatever they may be, including not being with you.
-
i sort of agree i think love is when u put someone elses happynes before yours and you would do anything for them
-
I think it is part of the basics of a good relationship. Yes.
-
I agree that it is an important part of love; if it's returned, you have something special for both.
-
Definitely. In fact, it is Biblical. The old testament was written in classical hebrew and the new testament was written in koine greek, and the greek word for God's love is agape. Agape is the perfect love, for it is a love that is totally devoted to someone, so much so that one would do anything for someone, even if it doesn't involve them. There is no better alternative to God's love, though many may choose to be loved by others and not any one else, and if that non loved ones truly care, they will back off and wish them well.
-
Above all else, yes. Otherwise, I don't know how anyone can even call it love. Love is supposed to be pure, after all. That's why, as sad as it is, real love is very rare.
-
Completely agree
-
Agreed. It can be hard to want the best for someone other than yourself sometimes.
-
I totally agree. I especially feel that for my children. :)
-
I agree that the quote is one of the things that love is. It's not the sole definition of love, though... I feel like there's more to love than that. Stuff that can't be put into words.
-
Yes I do agree. I just wish the people I love would agree with me on what is the best for them ~ lol :)
-
I agree, even if it means that you have to acknowledge/accept that you may not be what is best for them.....thus you have to let them go.
-
Love is giving your all to another who needs you at any certain moment within their lifetime shared ... Love is knowing when those moments arrive. Peace >♥<
-
I agree absolutely and without equivocation.
-
I have to disagree, Love is about doing and showing, not just wanting the best for them.
-
thats true
-
sounds good Love is very Deep and profound....... On a very pure level, Love is the essence of life.
-
I totally disagree. It's what's on your mind first before "true love" gets manifested.
-
Yes, as required by the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
Agree
-
I'm a bit selfish so I'd share the best.
