17 and I never met my daughter until she was 21, and she only saw me for a couple of weeks, and when it was found I was so utterly broke, I never saw her again.

19 just 2 days short of my 20th birthday

I found out I was pregnant (while being on the pill for 5 years) at 20 years old. On my 21st birthday, I was 6 months pregnant and my mother asked me how it felt to be 21. I looked at my growing belly, and because I couldn't "properly" celebrate my 21st, said, "It sucks.". I had my first child, my son Dylan, when I was 21 years old. 6 weeks after having him, and because no one told me you are most fertile right after having a baby, the first time my husband and I could have sex again, I got pregnant with my daughter Mackinzie. I never had any morning sickness with any pregnancy, and have had missed menstrual cycles due to stress, so I was 5 months pregnant with Dylan before I found out and 3 months pregnant with Mackinzie before I found out. Dylan was born 13FEB2000 and Mackinzie was born 13JAN2001. EXACTLY 11 months apart, to the day. My husband was supposed to go get snipped, but his excuse for not doing it was because I didn't make him an appointment. We discussed this when I was 4 months pregnant with Trevor, who was born 11JUN2002. I told him, just like everything else, if I want anything done, I'm going to have to do it myself. 24 hours after giving birth to Trevor, I had my tubal ligation surgery at 23 years old. I had just been pregnant for 2.5 years straight, having 3 babies. 23 years old with a newborn, 1 year old, 2 year old, and a husband who acted like a child was hectic!!! Now, they are 19, 20, & 21 (and the hubby has long been an ex-hubby), Dylan and Mackinzie are in college and Trevor is following in my footsteps by joining the US Army and attending a military academy for 2 years to become an Officer. I used to get shameful looks by older parents with children my kids' ages, but I'm glad I had them when I was young. I am now 42 and I don't think I could handle a newborn again. Lol. Being a mother has been the best role in my life! Rough, but I couldn't have asked for any other children!
