  • Yes it is, it is taking a human life, period. There is no other way to sugar coat it or justify it.
  • It is not wrong. The procedure is necessary for people who can't support children and might even die if they gave birth. This article tells of the follies of banning abortion and why it must remain legal. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7041048.stm
  • I think, unless under VERY extreme circumstances, that it is absolutely wrong! It is never our place to choose whether or not a life is worthy of living. As for the circumstances, I'm still not sure what I think as far as if you have to choose the life of the baby or the mother.

  • This ALWAYS seems to be a sensitive subject. I don't think or feel that abortion is wrong, HOWEVER, I don't think it should be used as form of or instead of birth control. If you don't want a baby right now then use a reliable form birth control and don't have sex without a condom because of STD's. It's that simple!
  • I am pro choice and I believe that this is a matter that can not be decided by men, but by women. Lets be honest here, if men could get pregnant, abortion would be legal with very strong backing from the male population. If women band together and vote to make abortion illegal then thats when I will say abortion should be illegal.
  • It's not a black-and-white issue. Abortion gets increasingly wrong as the fetus develops. By the time the 3rd trimester arrives, I really can't think of any combination of circumstances which would override the right of the baby to live. What makes people crazy about this topic is that we tend to think in "binary" terms about all moral issues: something is either right or wrong, yes? But the answer is "no", that's not true. Many actions have moral consequences which are somewhere in between -- some good effects, some bad effects. It's the TOTALITY of those effects which matters, and you can only know the totality of those effects approximately, not exactly. In addition, the "wrongness" of an action is very situation-dependent. The only way to make a confident judgment is to have all of the details about the situation, which basically means you have to BE in the situation. That's what judgment is all about: being able to make a sound judgment call in real life, in real situations. Most moral thinking is badly broken because it's absolutist: i.e. "lying is always wrong". But if the Gestapo is knocking on your door asking if there are Jews in the attic, the RIGHT thing to do is lie. Without that context, there's no confidence about right and wrong.
  • I don't think this question is open to absolute answers. Is it wrong to abort a child conceived by a violent rape? Is it wrong to abort a child who is horribly deformed(I mean horribly deformed--not a simple eyesight problem--please don't hit me with that). I don't know when a fetus becomes alive...Certainly the sperm and egg are alive before conception..but I hardly think that a cell at stage two division is a person..but this is just all my personal opinion..and this argument as I said has no absolute answers.
  • That is an entirely context-dependent question. I think sometimes it is right and sometimes it is not. It should always be an option, though.
  • Honestly no it is not. But i am going to leave it at that because i dont want to Offend others if i put my Real reason and answer on here
  • It is legal, as of right now. Morals can be debated until we're all blue in the face, but the simple fact is that abortion is, indeed, legal.
  • i dont think this is a yes or no answer. Every situation is different and people have thier reasons. I perosnally could never have an abortion. Getting pregnant is a gift from your body, telling you your worty of bringing a life into this world (even though some drug addicts and murders can concieve). I think this ideology of mine comes from having difficulty concieving, so i would never throw away what may be my only chance to have a child of my own.
  • well im pro choice, but i still dont like the idea of abortion, now i heard that the fetus can feel pain by 8 week old (i dont know if thats for certain) but i think it should be allowed if the abortion is done within the 8 week period, and also in cases of incest and rape, but it's bumb to use abortion as a controceptive, they are like $2000 a pop and getting pregnant is actually VERY VERY EASY TO PREVENT! now in the case where the condoms breaks AND the birth control doesnt work, then ok, but otherwise, the person needs to learn safe sex
  • Yes, abortion is most certainly wrong, and it is murder too. The moment the child is concieved, it is alive. Abortion is just as bad as killing some eleven year old because the child is alive, it has just never had the chance to experience the world. Abortion is sick and cruel.
  • Yes it is.
  • I think it is wrong because if you are pregnat it is in gods will for you to have that baby
  • I think it's an individual choice based on your particular situation--not necessarily wrong.
  • I think it's murder but everyone has their own opinion and a lot of people disagree but my son's adoptive parents are thankful I chose not to abort him
  • yes but i also believe its wrong to bring a child into this world if you cant even take care of yourself
  • Yes. It is not moral. The final decision is between you & God. Nobody else. My 2 cents.
  • Yes. so do most of the Electorate in the US.
  • To me it makes no difference what anyone does. Its for each person to act responsible and accountable for your own actions. Im not you. So you can do what you please. If you believe that there is a life in there and you are going to abort it then you need to live with the fact that you are killing life that is at least part of you and you are half responsible for creating, not me.. If you dont feel it is a growing life in there, then do what you please, again, I am not you and woudl never tell you or judge you on those actions. Its not my life but I would suggest to anyone ponder that before they get into that situation because its a big decision. Its not like deciding if you want "fucking fries with that". Wisely, I was smart and excercised caution and never put myself into a place where I would have been half of that decision and neither have the women I have been with GD
  • heyy well i think it would be wrong to get a abortion because who knows mabe the sole of one of your loved ones is in the child you are carying , also i think that every child should have a chance to experiande life , having an abortion is just like killing a child. I hope that awncerd your question
  • The age old debate. Wrong in a moral sense is individual. Wrong according to the law is different for each country and you would need to know the laws of the country you live in.
  • I don't think there's a clear cut 'yes' or 'no' answer to this question. Every person needs to make their own decision, and they need to stay out of the way for other people to make that same decision. Right now, I wouldn't have an abortion. My living situation, my financial situation, etc are all stable enough to support a child, should I accidentally get pregnant. However, I can't tell you what my decision would have been 10 years ago - because the situation didn't come up. Anyone who faces this decision needs to take their own specific situation into consideration. It's not for me to decide for you.
  • For me it depends entirely on the 'why?'. I think it's wrong to use it as birth control, but if a mom makes the decision to save her own life or something similar then I think that it is fine if she chooses to have an abortion.
  • I think this varies from person to person, pregnancy to pregnancy. A child, raped, should not have to have the offspring of her attacker, nor should a woman of any age. A careless teenager, unprepared or unwilling to care for a child, should not be forced into motherhood. Yes, there are other options, but I feel that abortion as an option should remain open. I do not support abortion as a form of birth control, but there are cases when it is the olny feesable option.
  • It's a personal decision. Some people can decide easier than others. If you don't want to have a baby, you have to decide whether you think having an abortion or carrying it to term for adoption is better for you- Some people are gung-ho for adoption; some wouldn't be able to carry it for whatever reason (their own health, doubt of their ability to produce a healthy baby whether because of genes or environment, knowledge they'd have to put their education or career on hold, possibly forever) and an abortion may be the better option. It's really something where you have to weigh the pros and cons for yourself, based on your own experience and your own beliefs.
  • Its a pretty broad topic and infused with emotional responses and dont think its answerable into a definitive. cases can be made on both sides. The only thing is to try tomitigate thru education
  • This is a full response to Galooly who commented on my post. Please read that before reading this. His comments and mine are attached at the end for reference WOW.. How long did it take you to think that up? What I am saying Einstein is that this has nothing to do with me. See it’s NOT my decision to make so I am not qualified to answer with a definitive. The question of right or wrong is most likely unanswerable in a spiritual or moral sense and will vary from person to person that doesn’t subscribe to your one-dimensional dogma. But when issues like this arise what learned people do is turn to education and attempt to solve the problem by teaching people of the ramifications thereof. The real answer is not right or wrong but how to prevent the mistake in the first place. If everyone clearly understood their actions they would probably use better judgment, hence less abortions, less insurance premiums, less heartache, and everything else! BUT apparently your trenchant “Good Logic” answer sums it all up and now everyone should bend over to the great Galooly. Tell me something genius, what have you done to change things? Where is your impressive resume? Have I seen you on the Nightly news, the ever omnipresent Galooly, bastion of society and savior of everyone? How many abortion clinics have you blown up or how many young girls (and boys for that matter) have you taken the time to educate so they don’t fall into I would perceive as one of the toughest decisions any woman would ever encounter in her life, I’m guessing zero, because you just want to run your mouth. Off the top of my head, I am guessing women don’t run off to get abortions for kicks. It must be a horrible and devastating ordeal that they will carry with them for life. You know, its real easy to piss out sarcastic comments with non-answers like "Good Logic". But that can’t be all? Tell us now, what you, and that great Galooly brain has to share with the proletariats. What makes you the expert? You know….. you have no damn answers because you are a dolt! You wanna know how you change stuff, moron? Take the time to teach them so they understand “before” the tragedy and don’t pile on after YOU failed them. But wait. I spoke too soon. You have already taught me without me realizing and it was there all the time in your comment of "Good Logic"? You taught me that you are an uneducated feeble minded jackass that is doomed to a benighted existence! Have fun goose-stepping over your friends. Good logic.
  • This thing keeps posting in the wrong place or more likely Im retarded!
  • My view is: It's a human life, no matter what age, that's being exterminated.
  • It is ethically wrong.
  • It is murder. by the time a women experiences symptoms of pregnancy, the baby already is growing fingers and toes and feels pain. by 3 months old the baby's heart in beating. it's murder
  • I think that the rights of a woman to have ownership of her own body, especially her reproductive system, supercede the rights of her unborn. To grant the right of personhood to the unborn restricts the mother's already established rights. Therefore I don't think abortion is ethically wrong.
  • Woman choose abortion when she's not ready to raise children. If she choose to give birth to a child, she choose a lifestyle that is totally upside-down. She would no longer able to live a life she wanted to live for at least 20 years, if not all the rest of her life. From the woman's point of view, abortion is the right thing to do if she does not want a child. Unfortunately, those believe in many lives find that "babies have souls". A baby chooses to be your child because he/she is either your creditor or debtor. You should enjoy/suffer the consequence as the result of having him/her in this life until you both are even. If a woman takes away a baby's "right of living", from the baby's point of view, she killed him/her. The baby will never rest to turn the mother's life with thousands of obstacles, until they both are even. Mothers often find that her relationship/marriage end up with horror, because the baby is taking revenge. The same thing happens to the father. A solution is to chant Buddism scripture for millions of times (you must consult a master), to help the baby's soul to leave the nether world and find a mother again. Remose is the first step. She should never take an abortion again. In my opinion, one should always ensure contraception. Both woman and man should take it seriously.
  • That depends.I you were raped no not at all it's not you're fault. If it was you're own fault by being foolish yes,if you want to play with fire you'll get you're fingers burnt. There are planty of SAFE ways to prevent any complications like pregnancy, std's and AIDS!it's not so hard to get protection, then you wouldn't have the heart break of aborting the poor unborn child.
  • I do not belive it it right to have an abortion. With that said I cannot condem someone who does so. They choose what they believe is right for them. I do not believe partial birth abortions should be legal. In the old days and mentioned in the Bible as well, unwanted babies were placed in the arms of a red-hot metal statue. The baby was literally instantly fried and killed. They didn't have the processes there are today. We haven't progressed very much have we...with the controceptives available today that they didn't have back then, women and even their partners should be more responsible to use them and properly. This would eliminate the need for abortions.
  • i think that aborion is wrong and it should be illegal all around the world there are so mny different types of abortion like the PARTIAL BIRTH abortion (illegal in the united states)this is what happens...Intact D&X, or partial birth abortion first involves administration of medications to cause the cervix to dilate, usually over the course of several days. Next, the physician rotates the fetus to a footling breech position. The body of the fetus is then drawn out of the uterus feet first, until only the head remains inside the uterus. Then, the physician uses an instrument to puncture the base of the skull, which collapses the fetal head. Typically, the contents of the fetal head are then partially suctioned out, which results in the death of the fetus, and reduces the sizes of the fetal head enough to allow it to pass through the cervix. The dead and otherwise intact fetus is then removed from the woman's body. dont believe me go to healthline.com and type in partial birth abortions and click on the second link another form of abortion is MANUAL VACUUM. This procedure can be used up to 10 weeks after the last menstrual period (early first trimester). It is the only surgical abortion procedure available before 6 to 7 weeks of pregnancy. It involves the use of a specially designed syringe to apply suction. This method is not available everywhere, but it may be more available than machine aspiration in some geographic areas. another is MACINE VACUUM This procedure is the most common method used in the first 6 to 12 weeks (first trimester) of pregnancy. Machine vacuum aspiration involves the use of a hollow tube (cannula) that is attached by tubing to a bottle and a pump, which provides a gentle vacuum. The cannula is passed into the uterus, the pump is turned on, and the tissue is gently removed from the uterus. ABORTION IS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!! once that baby is concived once the sperm enters the egg that baby is alive that baby is feeding off of you that baby is taking your blood from the unblical cord and getting nutritents from what you eat you are responsible for it now im only 15 i havent had a baby yet but if i were to get pregnant before i was ready i would never never have an abortion if i had to that baby would go up for adoption but killing it is wrong if u murdered someone becasue i didnt like them or because you didnt want them in your life you would be put in jail well abortion is the same thing you are killing a humanbeing because u dont want it it was most likley you god damed falt that you got pregnant in the first place becsaue uhad unprotected sex maybe you should think next time yes somethimes people get raped or the condom breaks or the birth controll was faulty but thats still no reason to kill the baby here are some videos so that you can understand better watch the first one it explains soo much of what i havent APORTION IS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • noop, not at all
  • No. Although I would never have an abortion, I do not agree that it is wrong. It is a choice.
  • Abortion is wrong to some people.
  • something so incredibly fun could not be wrong
  • No. It is a choice that each person needs to make for themselves. We own our bodies - we make our own choices.
  • No. No.
  • Nope. Don't agree.
  • Agree. With one exception, being raped and obviously getting pregnant.
  • Definately disagree.
  • Abortion is immoral. It is not about what we cay it is about what God's and He save abortion is wrong. Now of course we have the option to do whatever we want but we will all be judge some day for everything we have done sinful or not no and this is not to be proven but just believed. There is no grey area with God sin is sin and this make abortion wrong because it does not align with the word of God (THE BIBLE) BASIC INTRUCTIONS BEFORE LEAVING EARTH!
  • I did once upon a time as I grew up in the Catholic faith and that was what I learned. Then I grew up and saw all the abused, neglected, missing and murdered children who were born to people who didn't want them in the first place and only brought them into the world because they didn't believe in abortion. It made me ponder what was the worse scenario, them being aborted and not suffering at the hands of the person who didn't want them, or them suffering an unhappy short life full of abuse or neglect. I just don't think anyone should bring an unwanted child into the world to suffer. It's hard enough for children under the best of circumstances. When I see people standing and picketing in front of an abortion clinic (thankfully I no longer live close enough to one to see it) harrassing the women going in (probably the hardest decision that woman will ever make anyway), trying to make that woman feel like they are the devil's reincarnate; I want to give all those unwanted, aborted children to those people to raise so they can find a better way to spend their time rather than standing in front of a clinc harrassing women on what will probably be one of the worse days of her life.
  • Never.
  • always no matter what
  • Absolutely
  • no, bringing a child into a bad situation is wrong
  • As long as there is a line of people waiting to adopt infants, hell yes! I also find it annoying that males are expected to do their "duty" and pay child support for 18 years no mater what when a child is theirs, but a woman doesn't feel it's part of her "duty" to give up 9 months of her life to avoid taking a human life. Grotesque.
  • i dont, its a womans right
  • Yes, however I think that taking the option away from others is even worse. I mean an abortion, or suffocated and left in a trashcan at prom? Which is more humane?
  • I suppose there may be exceptions, but 99.9999% of the time, it is absolutely WRONG. When the life of the mother is to be sacrificed being the only exception I can think of. And by "life of the mother" I do NOT mean it would spoil her figure for swimsuit season or interfer with her vacation plans.
  • Everything has a right to live. How many women have regretted having an abortion years later?
  • NO, I DON'T.
  • I'll tell you what I do think... I think it figures that someone called "Jesus Freak." Would be asking this question. As for me... I don't think it is anyone elses damn business what a woman does with her body. At the end of the day, it is between her and her higher power and NO ONE else. Morality begins and ends at the tip of your own nose in reality... But some people, have no concept of what reality is and feel the need to beat on everyone that doesn't believe exactly as they do. Mainly Jesus Freaks!
  • What the hell do you expect me to answer? If you want to ask an opinionated answer, at least acknowledge that it is so. And damnit, use the search function, when you ask a question it displays similar questions.
  • I think it is wrong religiously. however religion should not be the basis of law, other wise you end up making things like prostitution and suiside illegal. while I believe it wrong, I can concied that first trimester women should have the legal choice to kill the infant. however anyone who thinks partial birth abortion is acceptable are wacked out of their minds. just because the baby hand't passed the vagina yet does not mean it is still ok to kill it.
  • um being religon has nothing to do with it. i am agnostic and was once athiest but my opinion has always been the same. ABORTION IS MURDER. now i think it should be illegal except in 2 situations. If a girl gets pregnant to young sometimes her body might not be able to handle it and it could kill her so she should have the choice. Also if you know it's like at least a 90% chance you'll die giving birth then that person should have the option. Any other situation it should be wrong. If somebody is raped there is this thing out there called ADOPTION. This living, growing, fetus deserves life like anybody else. Thats the thing people think it isn't alive or something but it very much is.
  • nope. I think it's your body and no one should be able to tell you what you can or cannot do with it or the life inside of you. If you want to die, have an abortion or pierce your spleen or tattoo your face it should be your choice to do so!
  • I think rape is wrong, I think incest is wrong, I think the many starving children in the world is wrong, I think the many abused and murdered children in the world is wrong, Do I think abortion is wrong? No, I think it is a sad reality.
  • Not at all. I think it may be a result of irresponsibility in a lot of cases (not all), but I don't think it's wrong.
  • No. You know what I think is wrong? Spamming the same question over and over on a site when you are quite well aware that the question has been asked hundreds of times. Period. Shame on you. I would also add improper use of the caps lock key.
  • Not under certain circumstances. Would you make your little girl have a baby conceived through rape?
  • How can one have a proper debate with a person who has not only asked a question but has also answered it. Because of this I wll keep my opinion to myself as you have clearly made up your mind that abortion is wrong so what is the use of me or anyone else saying otherwise?
  • YES IT IS WRONG YOU DON'T HAVE TO AGREE BUT YES IT IS WRONG.IT IS AGAINST GOD - IT IS SICK- IT IS CRULE-IT IS UNJUST.
  • if you want progress than no
  • YES!!!!!!!!!!
  • this about this. Does it matter how old a person is? like if i am 34, does it make me not human to be 35? same thing with abortion. if the baby is living, no matter how old it is it is still killing a living human. God says in the 10 commandments do not commit murder. thats all that needs to be said.
  • YES, IT'S KILLING THE MOST INNOCENT PEOPLE IN THE WORLD.
  • in alot of ways its wrong. but i think it depends on your stuation. (though that doesnt change that its wrong.) if a woman is raped, and cant stand the thought of raising this child, then i think in that situation, she should NOT be frowned upon for abortion. if a woman has sex, gets pregnant, and decides she doesnt want a baby right now, thats wrong. i'm Pro-Circumstance. (idk if thats real or not, if not i made it up.)
  • I think its ok if the pregnancy is accidental!
  • Yes, abortion is murder. I think that woman should have the right to choose but they should be counseled on the matter and have it made very clear that they are murdering their baby. To tell them otherwise is lying to them.
  • yeah I think murdering babies is very wrong
  • This is a hard question for me to answer. I believe in a woman's right to make the choice to abort. I have had an abortion, and I would make the same choice today if I got pregnant. I don't believe it is "right" or "wrong"; I believe it is a personal choice. It is a sad choice to make, and one that should not be made lightly. I believe it should not be used as a form of birth control.
  • Good question. +5 Is murder wrong? Is wrong to have an abortion, if, as *Planned Parenthood itself* said, "an abortion kills the life of the baby after it has begun"? If abortion takes/"kills...life"? (After all, if "death" is defined medically as the cessation of all body's vital functions including the heartbeat, brain activity, brain stem and breathing than a fetus with a beating heart, brain waves, brain stem, breathing amniotic fluid in and out is, by medical definition, a "life"). Is it wrong to violently destroy with our own hands a baby that has a heart beat, brain waves, all major organs, its own unique set of DNA (which contains a blueprint for the whole genetic being) and fingerprint, breathes amniotic fluid in and out, dreams, learns, remembers, reacts to loud noises and to mom's laughter, distinguishes between voices, responds to a familiar story, moves, stretches, yawns, sucks, swallows, smells, tastes, hears, sees, hiccups, and can feel pain-- perhaps (with such a raw and unmodified pain system) even more than we can? A life, that from the moment of conception is growing and changing? Is it wrong to rip babies from their mother's wombs with a suction device, while you watch as the baby pre-dodges the suction instrument time after time, while its heartbeat doubles in rate and when finally caught, its body being dismembered, the baby's mouth clearly open wide in a silent scream? (see The Silent Scream and a see description of the different abortion methods here: http://www.prolife.com/ABORMETH.html) Is it wrong to pierce a baby's beating heart with a needle, injecting poison to kill? Is it wrong to, as Luhra Tivis describes--who worked for an abortionist who "specializes in third trimester killings"--throw fetuses into a gleaming, metal, full-sized crematorium, "just like the one's used in funeral homes”, fire up the gas oven and a few minutes later, smell burning human flesh? Is this anything more noble than committing an "act of prenatal infanticide" and "cold blooded murder"? (Luhra Tivis, now a member of Operation Rescue, on her experience in the abortion business Quoted in Celebrate Life Sept/Oct 1994 "Where is the Real Violence?") (For other quotes by former abortionists exposing abortion, go here: http://www.prolife.com/EVERETT.html, including Eric Harrah, who was part owner of one of the nation's largest chains of abortion clinics: http://www.abortionfacts.com/dr_willke/connector_july_98.asp#1;for and quotes by celebrities on abortion: http://www.prolife.com/celeb.htm) Is it wrong, to--as Mother Theresa says--pit mothers against their children and women against men, sow violence and discord at the heart of the most intimate human relationships, aggravate the derogation of the father's role in an increasingly fatherless society, portray the greatest of gifts -- a child -- as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience, nominally accord mothers unfettered dominion over the independent lives of their physically dependent sons and daughters and, in granting this unconscionable power, expose many women to unjust and selfish demands from their husbands or other sexual partners? Is it wrong to have the right to life depend on/be declared to be contingent on the pleasure of someone else? Is it wrong to coldly "remove the products of conception" (Dr. Thomas Dillon & Colleagues, 1974), "empty" and "evacuate" the uteris? (All of this sounds strikingly similiar to the Nazi doctors and Hitler's subhumanity of the victims, ie: “ "It had nothing to do with humanity — it was a mass. I rarely saw them as individuals. It was always a huge mass." (Franz Stangl, former commandant of Treblinka, 1971); "The Baron de Hirsch ghetto would have to be emptied." (Max Merten, 1943); "If it is now pointed out that the Jew is human, I then reject that totally." (Antisemitic speech, Reichstag, 1895)) Is it wrong to take the life a baby that God himself "knit together" in its mother's womb and had "holy plans for" before he/she saw the light of day? A baby that he “knew all about” before he even shaped her in her mother’s womb and watched “grow from conception to birth”? A baby that was truly, "uniquelly", "wonderfully" and "marvelously" made by the Creator, designed for a glorious life in Christ and an eternal relationship with Jesus? A sacred life created in the image of God to live forever? "The Bible tells us that human life is sacred; God gave it to us, and only God can take it away. You and I aren't simply a higher form of animal; we were created in the image of God. God gave us a spirit or soul that will live forever—and this makes all the difference. The Bible says, 'God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them' (Genesis 1:27). This is why we must never destroy any life casually (from the unborn to the old). Life is precious, even when it nears its end on this earth. It is so precious that God sent His only Son into the world to open heaven's door for us by His death on the cross. The Bible says, 'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord' (Romans 6:23)." ~Billy Graham Is it wrong to treat our children as property to be disposed of as we see fit? Is it wrong "to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish"? (Mother Theresa) Is it wrong to take an unborn child’s life? Is it wrong to commit an act of cold blooded murder?
  • yes!!!!! its wrong to kill someone that has done no wrong to anyone.
  • Here's my viewpoint: There are several basic concepts of why abortion is considered to be okay. The main ones I would say would be age, location, conciousness, and self-reliance. Some people argue that it's okay, because the baby is too young. Thats an easy one to prove wrong, because people are allowed to live at any age. Some people say that the baby is located inside the mother, so the mother makes the choice. Well, they also go on to say that the mother's health is at risk. However, I have researched this matter, and discovered they are actually at greater risk when doing the abortion. Many women become depressed due to abortions, and a lot worse can happen from doing it then not doing it. So obviously their better off having the baby, so even if the baby is located in the mother this is NO reason not to have the baby. Some say that the baby is unconcious, not smart enough, or not self-reliant. Well, people in comas count, people who are mentally handicapped count, and people who need medical attention also count. The truth is, that the only real reason I can see that people consider abortion to be okay, is because the baby is not yet tangible, people can't see it, hear it, feel it. Basically, people are ignorant. That's the main reason abortion is considered to be okay. The second the baby is outside the womb, it's considered totally wrong to kill it. But if it's inside the womb, its considered just fine. The second one single person can explain to me how the baby is any different inside the womb, i may think about being wrong. But nobody has ever explained this, and I think there is no answer. In my view, abortion is based off of ideas that are basically the foundation of evil: To judge off of sight, smell, and sound. There is no real reason that people are okay with abortion. It just doesn't make any real sense.
  • only after the fetus grows fingers. That's when the brain fires up and the soul enters the body to run it (if you believe as I do, if not so what...) After that it is outright murder for convenience and a smack to mother nature for making women be the mothers. Fetus do explore their surroundings and are sentient. I can't believe we are still having this conversation. Some mothers put their children in microwaves and some drown or stab them. Human nature is horrible and we all want AS MANY OPTIONS as possible whether it's RIGHT OR WRONG. It does suck that women hav eto carry the baby while men don't. But every child has a father as well and we don't want our women friends murdering our offspring.
  • It's not as bad as what they would do to them later on.
  • I think it is totally wrong.
  • I like the opinion of Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz, who said that the one way out of the abortion morass is that everyone admit it's wrong and it's killing, but that we allow it anyway. It wouldn't be the first "wrong" thing that is legally allowed.
  • Just because a country or government says something is lawful doesn't mean it truely is. In Nazi Germany, Hitler said it was lawful to kill Jews. Later the league of nations put his soldiers on trial for murder. Ultimately we (should) evaluate our decisions based upon what God's Word says. One day everyone's choices will be judged by him and he will have the final say in all matters.
