Is Mick, the Crocodile Dundee a stereotype of Australians?
I heard that Australians are tough and rugged people, fighting to live hard in a hostile country of people, wild animals and specifically crocs. If I'm wrong, do enlighten me.

Not any more or not where I live , most of us live down south no crocodiles here the excuse one shelia used to get rid of me and not move to Darwin with me was theres crocodiles up there. To find a wild animal you would have to be queit and hunt for it, the way most of us walk thru the bush like a herd of elephants you wont see much. Actually most of us only get out of the truck when its bogged or we have reached the desternation. If you went to most respectable pubs youll be kicked out before you get to start the fight if your a dickhead. The only place 90% of the population has seen a crocodile is at the zoo. Some of the tourist boats on the Daintree make crocodiles jump up beside the boat.All the farmers I know machines do 90% of the work and their employees do manual part.
