Most Evangelists and Catholics do not preach the truth. Nowadays, it is better to become a Non-denominational Christian. Read the Bible and learn it for yourself. Revelation 22:12 says Jesus will repay everyone according to what they have done, whether it is good or bad. That's what a righteous judge does. And No, you can't do whatever you want. Hebrews 5:9 "And being made perfect, He became the source of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him," John 5:29 "And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."

No, they are each an authority unto themselves. There is no authoritative hierarchy to set down any rules or doctrines among them. They are each their own pope. This is why there are so many different denominations among them. They all decide to "read it themselves" and draw their own conclusions. That hasn't worked ever since Luther recommended it back in the 16th century. Even he recanted that idea after he saw the confusion he created.'I am a life long Catholic, and I never heard the term of art salvation you claim we profess. We actually claim that like St Paul said, we are redeemed, and working on our salvation in fear and trembling. Even the apostle to the gentiles was worried he might make "a shipwreck of his faith". We have to do our part in the journey of salvation too. 4/11/23
