  • heck no... are you crazy????
  • After gathering a lot of courage I would MAYBE do the "cage" thing. Swimming without the protection it brings? No way.
  • You are mistaken,I didn't act in "The deep blue sea" or "Jaws".
  • I actively want to, the only thing thats stopping me is the cost of going somewhere like South Africa or Oz.
  • Yes, in case of the alternative of jogging with bears
  • Oh yeah deffinately. I'm planning on doing so in a couple years time when i'm in the right place too! :) +3
  • I love the ocean...but from a distance... Like a Youtube distance... I would NEVER get into an unfamiliar atmosphere with something that can out swim me and possibly eat me. The risk for me is not worth the exhiliaration.
  • i have :-) little sharks but still sharks in florida - not blizard beach...the other water park...cant remember whats its called would i go in the sea in a cage? love 2!!
  • Hell to the no. Sharks are f*ckers.
  • If you have swam in the ocean or bay, you have probably swam with sharks since there are over 360 species. Sharks can range from the Dwarf Lanternfish (Etmopterus perryi), which is about 7 1/2 to 8 inches (19 - 20 cm) long for fully-grown females and 6 to 7 inches (16 - 17.5 cm) long for adult males to the whale shark (Rhincodon or Rhiniodon typus), which can be up to 50 feet (15 m) long. It is a filter feeder and sieves enormous amounts of plankton to eat through its gills as it swims. It is also the biggest fish. Shark species are still being discovered. Like the Frill shark discovered off Japan in 2008.
  • Yes, I saw sharks last year when I went scuba diving on my birthday!!! I was so excited I could hardly believe it!! I've also been surrounded by barracuda before when diving. NOTE that 94% of sharks are not dangerous. These were nurse sharks that I saw. You do want to know your sharks.
  • maybe i'd swim with sharks that just ate lol
  • Um I don't think it would be a very good idea, so no.
  • Yeah, I've done it. They weren't exactly great whites.
  • I swim in the ocean. So do sharks.
  • It's all about how you move your body, people :) If you're making fast, sudden movements well then yeah of course a shark will find you. From up to two miles away they'll feel and hear you thrashing and to them that is usually an injured animal, which is prey (food). So they'll swim to where you are and check you out. If you have any blood leaking from you then HELL YEAH get out of the water ASAP b/c then they'll take a taste . . . perhaps more if they like it, but it is rare that sharks actually HUNT for people. It's likely our fault b/c most don't know that moving quickly attracts them. I know that if you did have an open wound you'd already be trying to get out of the water b/c that would sting, but you have to swim calmly and don't be afraid as they'll pick up on that also. So to answer the question, if I could keep calm, gentle, relaxed movements in the water while STILL keeping my heartbeats from going fast then yes, I would. It's on my bucket list . . . might move it to my last thing to do just in case lol :P
  • Hell yeah Zack, it's top of my list of things to do before I die. It might in fact be the death of me, but at least I'd die happy. It would have to be in a controlled environment though, I've seen the film Open Water and that didn't look like a barrel of laughs did it? The one thing to remember is the only predictable thing about sharks is that they're unpredictable. Also you've got more chance of dying from a cocoanut falling on your head than you have from unwittingly tickling a Tiger Shark's tonsils - lol.
  • Not of my own free will
  • i love sharks, they are my favorite animal. But it all depends on what types of sharks you mean. If you mean Great White sharks then no, because i enjoy life. If you mean non-meat eating sharks like whale sharks then sure.
  • only if im going to die
  • Ya i'd love to.
  • I have gone swimming with sharks... in a cage at seaworld. it was still really awesome!!! and by the way, if your a shark fan, email me at sharkruler5000@gmail.com.
