I would not chance it, I would get the date changed to a better date.

They'll just give you a new court date.

No they can make mistakes its us that cant

No they can screw up royally and you still are stuck. I've had them put the wrong address of incident, wrong date, wrong offense. Weeks later they send a letter correcting their sloppy work and that covers them in court.
