Does he want a 2nd date?
I went out with a guy and had an enjoyable evening. He asked me about going to the movies sometime with him. I told him I would, but we didn't make actual plans that night. I was brought up that guys should always do the asking, so I'm unsure if I should say anything to him about the movies again. I'd like to see him again. It's been over a week now, have I waited too long?

It sounds like he wanted a second date he might have reconsidered but no it's not too late, just look up what's playing, call him and make a suggestion.
