No. I believe that pure evil exists out there, with no reason and no purpose other than to cause pain and suffering. So even if fear were no longer an issue, I believe some people would still enjoy hurting others.

No, for fear is justified, and what justifies said fear is what stands between humanity and lasting peace. Evil does exist, and it takes many forms, but most notably in terrorism, especially with muslim radicals, but also with friends of radicals and/or arabs, such as Russia and Hispanic countries such as Venezuela and Cuba. Also, I fear God, yet it is a reverence kind of fear, and I am quite at peace.

I consider fear (and its opposite... greed) to be side-effects, not the core issue. The core issue is false identity, from which fear and greed arise. Here's how it works: from the formless / borderless everything, we come to consider ourselves to be "this thing" -- i.e. our body, thoughts, memories (at the individual level) or our shared characteristics such as language, culture, political ideology (at the group level). Having defined ourselves as "this but not that", we've set the stage for potential conflict and ... most importantly ... *threats* to our existence. If I am this but not that, this can be threatened by that. Likewise, if we are "republican" but not "democrat", there is the potential for one group to be seen as a threat by the other. The same applies to greed -- if you have something, and it's yours and not mine -- I can want it. If I see myself and you as part of a larger whole, I don't have a sense that there's something missing which I should want, it's just about fulfilling everyone's needs. So a certain amount of this provisional identity is appropriate... obviously we can't all own the same shoes. But when it gets taken to absolutes and extremes, conflicts, fear, greed, divisiveness, nationalism, prejudice, and a whole host of related illnesses arise. All because we don't really understand who and what we are: part and parcel of the whole.

Read The Gift of Fear by Gavin De Becker to understand the emotion, and then A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson to know that everything can be boiled down to love OR fear. So yeah, without fear, we'd live in peace, but it's part of the human experience.

Absolutely believe that humans will live in peace if it were not for fear. Fear is the root of all base emotions and motivations. I always felt that fear is evil and cowards are more dangerous than brave people. "Courage is the ladder on which all the other virtues mount."

I think there would be much more peace if there was no fear. Maybe it would be total peace. Fear is one of the greatest wastes of life force, maybe the greatest. I really don't think people need fear. If people are aware enough, they can think clearly and act rationally without being afraid. In my strong opinion, there is no rational room for fear. Fear is used to control people and does no good. Even anger has a proper place in life, but it is not something that you should let control you. It is not something you should always hold in either.

No I believe fear is what keeps many would be troublemakers in line. Some would be thieves won't steal in fear of either being arrested or violent reprisals from owners of said property.

No there are too many things stopping this. Greed, Envy, Hatred those are some of the things which won't allow peace.
