Are there times that you don't comment on an answer you've received because you just didn't know what to say?

Yes. Many times. This one still has me stumped: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/610024 I just don't have a clue what to say. I might try putting it into Babel and see if another language works...

Sometimes I don't comment in order to avoid redundancy. I ask myself how many times do I have to type "thank you" or "you're welcome".

No..I always thank the person for his/her answer and I usually wish a Happy Whatever Day it is and I end with a smiley face. If the person takes the time to answer my question it is the least I can do to take the time to say thank you. If I make no further comment it is either because there is great disagreement and I don't want to engage or because the person gives a very short answer to which any further comment seems unnecessary! :)

There have been a few times when I felt that way...I know a few times I've not commented. Or a few times when I replied "alrighty, then!"

Yep. And I'm leaving less comments like 'Thanks' since certain ABers think that it is a waste of time for them to read comments like this.

Not usually, but there are plenty of times when I don't leave a comment or points because the answer doesn't come up on my notification light, when I find it (sometimes months kater) I leave a comment and points then!

I will always give points when someone answers my question, but I don't always comment unless I want to continue the conversation on that subject. I don't type just Thanks, because I don't like to waste my time reading just Thanks to my comments and answers.

Sometimes; one example was a serious question about death and I felt it inappropriate to say 'thanks' on such a grim subject so I only left "+6" in the comments to let them know I read and found the answers helpful.

There are times I don't comment on answers I receive because I just don't want to, and why should I have to? I do my best to at least read all of the answers I receive, though.
