What cd player would fit in the dash of a 1996 Mazda 626?

You can install any most cd players in any vehicle, but the only way you can do so is to buy a kit mount for that particular vehicle or better called an adaptor kit for cd players. You can find most adaptor kits at wal-mart, advance autos, most parts stores, just make sure you know the make, model, and year of the vehicle inorder to find the right adaptor kit for that certain vehicle. Also make sure that you may or maynot need extra wireing harnesses for the cd player? Regardless of the wires that are currently installed in the car, check to make sure that you do not need extra wireing, and clamps, if you do not have the wireing harness then you will not be able to hook up your cd player..even though you get your adaptor kit for the cd player.
