I sold a truck on good faith to my former boss, he quit making payments. is there anyway to put a lein on it?

Take him to small claims court. Learn your lesson.

YOu will need proof. If you did not have a written agreement, check to see if the truck is registered in his name with your state. What about the title to the truck? did you sign the vehicle over to him? Having a copy of the signed title would be excellent evidence for court. Without proof, its his word against yours.

Since he has the truck you have plenty of proof. Sue him hopefully in small claims court. Even if you can get a lien, you will only get paid when he sells the truck. If that's not for a long time it may be worth almost nothing.
