The BMW logo comes from the colours of the Bavarian flag,it is nothing to do with a spinning propeller as commonly thought,even tho they did originally produce aircrart engines the idea of a spinning propeller is not correct!

i think BMW means Blue-Middle-White .cause in the logo it is obvious that B is in the Blue Background While M is in the Middle Of two colors and W is in white background.
