I don't know if this is a vista issue, but I keep losing connection with the internet since it was installed.
-
DRM.
-
It made my XP outdated
-
Some XP files aren't compatible with it.
-
That so many people just don't believe me when I say give any new OS a couple years to get some patches anf fixes going before you get it, Vista is the perfect example of why.
-
Vista?............I still have Windows 98!
-
Everything, it seems like a Beta version to me nothing is compatible.
-
Nothing stinking works on it!!
-
THE DAMN SECURITY NOTICES. I can get every program working on it, as well as every game. It runs on my computer, and I've got every single issue fixed besides these damn security notices. Honestly it's almost exactly like linux, only in linux they know that tiny little things like deleting a file, or running a program should not need to be cleared with admin power. Annoying annoying annoying!
-
Well, nothing works with it for one.
-
You guys are scaring me! I was going to buy a laptop with Vista pre-installed, but now I don't know what to do, if it has so many problems.
-
This is in the "What it's Worth" category Zack. I just wanted to say that I installed Mozilla Firefox on one half of my computer and it makes stuff work so much faster and better..so far anyway. Oh! I have XP with Windows Internet Explorer not Vista, wonder if that will help out in that also?
-
I haven't had any problems at all so far. We got our computer with Vista back in Feb 2007.
-
security notices popping up, software incompatability and its just crap and annoying ;)
-
People that complain about it. If you want your programs to work, run them in compatibility mode, do you all forget that XP had all these exact same problems? It's because most programs were built for 98 and below, which weren't NT operating systems, XP+ are NT operating systems. If you want to stop the 'windows needs permission' messages, turn user account control off, provided you have a good anti virus and your firewall is on and you have all the updates installed, your PC will be fine.
-
this is the first time i have had vista and it took me awhile to get used to but now that i am its ok.
-
It doesnt work

DOS doesn't run full-screen, which aggravates me because some of my all-time favorite games (from days of old) have to run in that mode. In addition, my computer will sometimes just shut off at random -- but I don't know if that is a Vista issue or a laptop issue.
-
That it requires too much memory...and many computer manufacturers are selling some model with only 512 DDR Ram, and it will turn them as slow as molasses. Even 1024 Ram is not quite good enough...
-
I can't open up multiple windows without having to close almost all of them just to click on a link. I HATE IT!! Can I tell you how I really feel? ;)
-
That they did the same with Vista as they did 7 years ago with Xp, flushed older software support down the toilet, and that it's a pc resource eating monster :p
-
...that its shit
-
Their lame excuse for a network control panl. It looks nice but performance suffers with their stolen (KDE/Gnome/OS X) gui enhancements
-
It slow everything down and it shuts down different software,
