  • Sometimes. But if they do, the conclusion is classified as "a posteriori" and in order for it to be significant, the statistical analysis is much more rigorous. The classic experiment (like the ones we do for science fairs in grade school) tend to be "a priori" and usually the outcome is just a hypothesis.
