  • well thats easy, there's no such thing.
  • There is no science behind it. Just as you said, blessed & prayed too. Its like placebo water...The more you believe & have faith..then more you'll feel it protects you *Puff Puff*
  • You boil the Hell out of it.
  • Did you think about your question before you asked it? I mean holy water...Science...? Hmm, that is like water and oil, they don't mix. Well that is all I have to say about that.
  • They just pray over the water, simple as that.
  • this is the best question i had read. you see in order for water to be holy you need to be have vocal chords and repeat this phrase: this is holy water. unfortunately many people do not have vocal chords or their vocal chords are damaged and cannot say the water is holy. if that is the case, a mute may write it like this, this water is holy. if the mute doesn't have arms nad legs and cannot write with his mouth then you can deduce that the water cannot be holy.
  • What you want and what you get are two different things. "Holy water is water that has been blessed by a member of the clergy or a religious figure. The use for cleansing prior to a baptism and spiritual cleansing is common in several religions, from Christianity to Sikhism. The use of holy water as a sacramental for protection against evil is common among Anglicans, Roman Catholics,[1][2] and Eastern Christians."
  • Want a biblical answer? That's Pagan superstition at its finest. Take note: don't believe everything you see in the movies. 2 Corinthians 4:18 "So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable." How so? Just like the wind.
  • I was visiting in a Catholic church when I was dating a lady there. At one special ceremony they had they were making "holy water". They had a bucket of ordinary tap water. They then prayed over it and placed the bottom end of their cross in the water. The priest then declared it to be Holy water. I had to put my hand over my mouth to keep from laughing out loud.
