You can't know the exact year. In those days, only the exploits of the great were recorded. The achievements of some artisan who made a great step forward in technology went unnoticed. ACtually the first bronze was made in what is now Iran then Persia, which is why it is called bronze (from the Persian birinj) and not from an Egyptian word. Acc to Wikipedia: "The earliest tin-alloy bronzes date to the late 4th millennium BC in Susa (Iran) and some ancient sites in Luristan (Iran) and Mesopotamia (Iraq)." Egypt would have followed pretty quickly after this.

It's not known exactly, but when the Hyksos invaded Egypt in the 17th century BC, it is likely that they succeeded only because of their superior bronze weapons, which the Egyptians would have little knowledge of. In the reconquest of Egypt after that it's likely that bronze weapons were used.
