Ahemm! ahh...yes, sir, I will certainly do that, sir. I also have a good "designated driver". She is a teetotailer.

Oh, yeah. Definitely. The consequences of drinking and driving can be devastating. Here's a heartbreaking example: Last Wednesday afternoon, six days before Christmas, a CHP motorcycle officer pulled an SUV over to the shoulder on Highway 101, just north of Ventura. A pickup, driven by a 20 year old kid who'd been drinking, swerved onto the shoulder and slammed into the parked SUV, which exploded. The impact pushed the SUV about 60 yards up 101 and the force of the explosion blew the officer off the roadway. In the midst of the complete bedlam and chaos, a lady stopped and performed CPR on the officer, who was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Then she got on his radio and called for help. She saved his life. The SUV driver, also only 20, died at the scene, although his passenger survived. I saw a picture of the vehicle. Not much was left - just a blackened frame. The police arrested the 20 year old pickup truck driver on suspicion of felony DUI. He and his passenger sustained minor injuries. Christmas will never be the same for these people and their families again, because one person chose to drive after he'd been drinking.

Yes. I will absolutely do that.
