Brand spanking new contemporary furniture.
-
Brand new!
-
Antique furniture, built better.
-
I think I'd like to have the antiques. I live in an older home, and modern furniture, just wouldn't fit the charachter of the house.
-
I like the antiques, and they don't necessarily have to be beautifully restored.
-
I prefer a mixture of both, it looks lovely when it's done properly. I won't hear a word said against Ikea (though I do get a strange pleasure from watching various people shout at the manager of my local store each time I visit because they have the wrong bits in their box, or no bits in the box!). However we also have various antiques in the house too, I have some in my bedroom and I swear I will take them with me when I move out. If I had to choose just one, I'd go with modern (mostly Ikea!!) furniture, I love my ice cube trays and bizarrely named furniture too much.

Modern, trendy and minimilistic and that's just how it is :))

I like Antique better.

Antiques.
-
I actually have a mix of both.
-
I'll take more antiques.
-
Antiques... no question! I already own one, it's an 03-A3 from 02/47!
-
I love antiques! They don't have to be all that restored...they have character.
-
Antique furntiture. I love old, classic things! :)
-
I prefer antique stuff. Modern stuff is nasty.
-
I had to think for a bit ,because I like both, but push come to shove I'll take the brand new modern furniture.
-
I would like it filled with antiques which I could then sell and go ultra-modern and still have loads of cash left over :o)
-
I'm with most of the folks here... antique furniture, not necessarily restored. A few dings and faded woodwork adds character. I loooooooooooooooove antiques!
-
old stuff...late 1800's or early 1700's. You can send it to me when I get a house. thank you :)
-
I like rustic antiques. Very strong, sturdy, not overly ornamental stuff. I do like modern made sofas but with that opulent feel of men's club furnishings. If you remember the movie "Big" with James Dean, I really liked the look of how the ranch house was decorated.
-
Antiques! But I love to do the restoring as a hobby!
-
NEITHER, I HAVE 6 WARRIOR CATS/LYNX
-
the question is biased...you say "beautifully restored" when referring to antiques, but only "brand new" when talking about modern furniture. That gives everyone an image of all the intricate, delicately carved marble top furniture that would have cost a small fortune just to own back in its day, when actually most antique furniture is simply "handmade stuff" that may not even be functional in today's home/lifestyle. Antiques are overrated bigtime, and besides, they smell like musky old man cologne.

I am an antique fanatic. The new stuff is okay...but anything that has survived 50 or more years for someone else will definately last for me.
-
I like the antique's, they have some great carving's.
