If you haven't made a final decision, can you tell me a little more about him and why you chose him? If travel was involved in obtaining him or obsticals had to be overcome then I would suggest the name "Journey". If the two of you will have travel or obsticals ahead of you to overcome together then maybe "Sojourner". I have one horse I bought last December that I still have not found the right name for him.

Well even though you posted this Question ages ago, for anyone else out there.... It is very hard to choose a name for a horse and well anything really. A cat, a dog, even a new born baby. So here are some things you need to remember to get the best name.... 1. Does the name sound right in full. eg: Adam Brown [If its a baby] 2. Does the name suit its personality. No point calling it lazy if its the most energectic thing you have ever come across. 3. People call big things small and the opposite for small things. Then the name just sounds weird. Like tiny for a great dane and huge for a hamster. 4. Think of some of your favourite names. 5. Ask some friends or family if they like the name. 6. Have a sensible, nice name... not strawberry for a baby like celebs call them. 7. If you were choosing a name for a baby is it always going to want the name eg; Milo. when its young it sounds good. when the kid is 14 is it going to like it. When he gets chatted up by a 18 year old good looking girl will he think it sounds stupid, then when he is 30, his children go to school saying their dads called Milo, their friends will think they are joking. Then when Milo is 80. I'm Milo. People wil think when he is 14 his parents named him after the tweenies. HOPE THEY WILL WORK WHEN YOU GET A PET OR MAYBE WHEN YOU HEAR THE SOUND OF THE PITTER PATTER OF TINY FEET.

My first lesson horse was an old 16h buckskin named "buckskin". I was 5. I'll never forget him. As far as originality, it falls short, but he was unforgetable. Good luck w/your new horse.
