I cannot do either so I scream for help. When help does arrive I make sure (from a safe distance) that they don't kill it.
-
Neither. I put a glass over them and slide a piece of paper/card underneath the glass, trapping it inside. Flip the glass upside down so the spider cannot escape and throw the spider out the front/back door whilst still holding onto the glass.
-
Neither, I am petrified of spiders! I scream and leave the room until someone else catches it and takes it outside. I do have to witness the spider being removed or I can not re-enter the room!
-
I kill them unfortunately or the cats find them and they take care of them.
-
I catch them in a cup and take them outside.
-
I move them outside.
-
i scream and leave the house until someone kills it.
-
I'm too scared to pick up a spider, but I don't want to kill it. Someone else'll have to do it.
-
Exterminate! Annihilate!! Destroy!!!
-
occasionally, i'll squash them. sometimes, i flush 'em. mostly though, i trap them under a glass. then, i slide a peice of sturdy paper under the glass slowly enough so that the spider is on top of it. i hold the two together carefully, take it outside and release the bastard!
-
My 4 yr old daughter demands that I kill the spider and then show her the evidence so that she can feel safe. I usually don't like killing them because they web the more annoying bug.
-
I'm too afraid of touching bugs. I let someone else do it though
-
It's either going to go outside or it's gonna be killed. I don't mess around with that. If you just maim it, and, it gets aways from you, it'll come back for vengeance with friends.
-
umm kill!! i actually feel bad about doing it and don't like to do it but I'm way too afraid to touch one or put a glass over it or anything else. I run to the opposite corner and throw books at it until it's dead.
-
I do not kill spiders since they eat bugs. I either take them outside, especially if they are the web spinning type or I might leave them be if they are jumping spiders because they don't make webs in the house.
-
I put a cup over them, slide a piece of paper under the cup - hey, presto, spider in cup! Turn it over, and out to the garden we go!
-
if it's a daddy long legs, i'll grab em and throw em. if it's one of the evil creepy lookin ones i smash them to bits. hay the shouldnt be in the house, if they were outside i'd leave em be.
-
being bitten on more than 1 occasion by a brown recluse spider and dealing w/ the consequences of the bite,(3 days of IV antibiotics..)i show them no mercy...
-
I usually catch them in a plastic cup and put them outside.
-
They get put to death!
-
I have been bitten by both a brown recluse and a black widow..when I see a spider..it's dead.
-
Same as Farino: I catch them in a glass or a cup.
-
I shuffle them outside if it isn't too cold. If it is too cold, I leave them alone.
-
We have some bad ones in Florida. Some I kill, some I put outside.
-
I put them in a jar and take them outside.. Although sometimes i just smash them if they are small..
-
I don`t kill them. In Russia we say to see a spider means to receive good news.
-
Neither - I just leave them completely alone; they aren't bothering me by sitting in the top corner of one room in this house, so I won't bother them : P Unless it is some insanely toxic spider, then I'd probably put it outside... I never kill them though, except if they leap on me and I twitch and accidentally slam them into a wall or something : / That's happened a few times unfortunately... I hate killing things, no matter what they are (I literally wouldn't hurt a fly, lol : P )
-
I use a piece of paper under them or my finger. If they have a web I might use that, too.
-
ikill them or one bite from them may kill me.
-
i would kill a bug but not an animal.so i would have to say kill it.
-
I could never kill an insect. I'd feel awful. I capture them with a glass and a bit of paper or whatever and set them free to go about their spidery business in peace.
-
i either scream and run away or pick up my cat, blow on the spider so it moves and he notices it, and let the cat get it.
-
i kill them because if you let them back outside they most likely will find a way back in and that is not something most people and i want
-
I just pick them up in my hand, close it and drop them outside, then again here in the UK they are not poisonous :o)
-
I kill the creepy little bastards, I dont want them reproducing around my house.
-
Kinda bad idea to grab them by a leg. Sometimes they can bite you that way. I just make them run up into my hand, or onto a piece of paper, and take them outside. Most of the time, kitt just makes me kill them.
-
I am scared of spiders.. Don't like them, never will!! I kill them. There was a spider on my garbage can the other night before taking it out, and I moved him, but that's because it was outside. The idea of spiders gives me the chilly willies!
-
Carefully catch them on a piece of paper and put them outside. Grabbing a spider by its leg could hurt it potentially
-
Neither. I get a piece of paper, let them crawl on it, tube it up, and THEN take them outside. My husband taught me this and I should say, it is one of the reasons I find him so endearing.
-
Ewwwww ...nothing ...I run away from them :-) !
-
I grab them gently with some tissue, then put them outside! Even though we don't have poisonous ones over here, some of them still bite.
-
I will never ever ever touch a spiders leg. I am afraid I will have to whack him.
-
I scream and get someone else to take care of it. If it is on the floor I'll just stomp on it.
-
I catch them in a cup and put it out in the garden.
-
tick them onto a piece of paper and then outside
-
wel, it really depends on how big the spider is. My son wants me to let him freese a few in a baggy so he can leave them on his sisters pillow just so he can make her scream. I told him NO! (but I did think about it. lol)
-
Neither. I scream and squeal like a little girl then i frantically wipe at all my clothing as if it's on me, then i get the fly spray and fill the room from floor to ceiling with it, shut the door and don't go back in that room for weeks.
-
You don't need too kill spiders just put them into a glass and put them in your backyard.
-
If I saw a poisonous spider in my house I'd kill it but I never have seen one in here. All of the spiders I've seen in my house are harmless so if they get in my way I just brush them aside.
-
Neither, I don't mind having spiders in my house. They eat flies, mosquitoes, etc. I will only kill the poisonous ones.
-
I prefer spiders to flies.
-
usually grab them by a leg or slide them up in a glass if there poisonous. i wouldnt kill a spider
-
I am absolutely petrified of spiders so I just kill them!
-
Put them outside safely. I wouldn't grab a leg for fear it would break off.
-
Neither i scream and run away! :)
-
I kill them. Generally I use Raid or "Death dealer," my $0.99 fly-swatter.
-
Kill it. I can't stand the nasty little things. Although, a black tarantula was in my car port the other day, I washed it down the street with the garden hose, I didn't want the mess that large of a creature would make had I killed it.
-
I take two peices of paper, slide the spider onto the sheet and dump it outside.
-
kill them i hate them!!!!!!!!!!!
-
depends, if they decide to fall out of nowhere in front of me or on me then they DIE, if i see them just minding there own business walking on the floor or wall, they live.
-
One word OVERKILL
-
If it's a small spider I just leave them wear they are. If it's a larger one I will get my mum to take it outside...I don't want to kill them but I don't want anything to do with them either.
-
SOME SPIDERS BITE PEOPLE IN THE NORTHWEST.
-
I SCREAM (SMALL) THEN SCREAM TO MY PARENTS TO COME KILL IT OR TAKE IT OUTSIDE CUZ I DONT LIKE KILLING ANYTHING IF ITS A COCKROACH THAT IS A WHOLE DIF STORY I WONT EVEN GO INTO THE WHOLE HOUSE AND I STILL GET CHILLS AND I SCREAM VERY LOUD WHEN I SEE ONE AND YELL TO THE TOP OF MY LUNGS AND FREAK OUT
-
Daddy Long Legs are the only spiders that I will allow to share my home. All the others get the death penalty.
-
I kill spiders at sight. I either step on them, stomp them if they try to get away or spray them with Raid if they are out my reach.
-
I invite them in for dinner. They eat bugs, and I live in an apartment. Jk. The exterminator takes care of them.
-
A lot of people claim that they don't hurt anything and that they eat other household pests. But everyone needs to learn a little something about what's called the food chain. Every living, breathing plant or animal has predators that feed on them - even man in some cases. Spiders are a link in the food chain. They eat flies and smaller vermin that make their way into your home, but they too have enemies. One of the more common enemies of spiders that find their way into a person's house is the centipede. If you think spiders are gross, watch these things crawl on the walls and ceiling at a hundred miles an hour.
-
I corner the spider with my hands and while it’s moving about on my hand I quickly put it in the garden or out the bedroom window. The spiders here in Ireland are harmless because they are house spiders. There are no tarantulas or any venomous spider that come from here in Ireland. House spiders deserve their dignity
-
I leave them alone unless they're in the bath when I remove them with a magazine & a glass.
-
No. I let them alone. They eat the bugs that I REALLY don't want around.
-
never kill them..i let them crawl onto end of a mop or broom and take em out doors or push them into a big cane basket and take em out doors
-
I eat Them.
-
I kill them, my friend takes them outside.
-
I get a tissue and transport them with it
-
I capture and rehabilitate them.
-
I usually take them outside. Spiders eat up to 1/10th their weight in other bugs every day. How much do you eat daily?
-
I squash The hand full of venomous brown fiddle backs I find every year & flush them down the stool & do the same for the 2or3 rare black widows I've found over the years. The rest I just leave alone until its vacuuming day. then I give them & their webs a ride down inside the hoover roller coaster ride.
