I have actually negged once... only once, it was -1 for a Q that was a load of random capital letters just blurted out... nowadays though if I don't like it, I don't read it, I don't get satisfaction out of negging x

I always give points to anyone who shows up and takes the time to answer the question I've asked. The only time I don't give points is if the answer contains something offensive to me..vulgar language generally. If the respondent gives an answer that is totally off point I usually don't give points until/unless he/she clarifies what he meant. Otherwise I think it only polite to acknowledge that an answer takes time, whether you agree with it or not. I also always thank everyone..it doesn't matter if I agree with the answer or not.:)

I am a giver. I rarely detract unless there is something extremely offensive that is also degrading, maligning, or otherwise hurtful to people. Even then, I think about it. It really very rarely happens. I enjoy the gift of being able to give.

Giver, for answering my questions or other member's questions and for asking questions. I feel it's only fair if someone asks a questions and it interests me enough to take a look, I'll give points, even if I don't decide to add anything to the Q&As. If you stopped and answered one of my questions, I will give points to all, even if I disagree or not understand. If you are rude or offensive, I just won't give points but I won't take away points. I rarely DR people. I just ignore instead. It's not like it takes points from them, only the answer. I'd rather flag an answer for being offensive and just move on with life. I'm not punishing anybody.

I am a definate "giver". I have never used the points to give scale to pick how many to give. It's max points to all who answer sincerely, or make me laugh.
