A doctor told my wife to tie a white thread at the base of the tag, it strangles it, and it will soon fall off. She tried it and it worked and left no scar either. To have the doctor remove them it can leave a tiny scar at each point.

Garlic is good at getting rid of certain things, I've not tried it on skin tags though, have to localise area with plasters as it burns. Someone said the Castor oil worked for them.
