If a person doesn't want a response that may be contrary to what they expect, then they shouldn't post their viewpoint/statement as a question on a Q and A site. You can't ask a question or make a statement as a question and 1) expect to control the response, 2) be confused about it and start asking questions as to why people think they can change your viewpoints. People don't, they are simply answering questions that you are asking, that's it.
