Why do some people feel it is relevant what others think of them and making comparisons with each other as a person?
Everyone has different minds. There is no need to get inside the mind of someone else because that causes psychological damage. We each have our own thinking to do so respect head space and not force views on each other. I could be talking to a brick wall with some people out there because they will not understand where I am coming from.

It's only relevant if someone is deliberately trying to slander your character (death my character assassination) to someone of importance, say in government who can affect your life. Joe bloggs presents no threat. As for psychiatry, the reason that it's important, (even though psychologists and psychiatrists can get it wrong, because most disorders can mimic others and run on a spectrum) is it serves to help the sufferer, and is important in criminal matters regarding possible treatment and statistics of reoffending. I think others can understand each other, but some people lack self awareness,the ability to see there own defects and how they contribute to their problems communicating with others. Say of example people who lack empathy, have to fake it to fit in, but in of themselves they feel no empathy towards others. They want to be a victim while being insulting or triggering to others, and people spot that hypocrisy.
