Thanks for sharing! Mexico has the 11th to 13th richest economy in the world and growing rapidly. They will easily be in the Top 5 world's economy if the country wasn't so corrupt. It is a big country and their people are very prideful: https://youtu.be/FsKXWl0Zgmk Keep in mind, the supposedly greatest military in the world being the US lost to the Taliban. Vietnam was not a success either, while Iraq wasn't an easy country to defeat. Not only that, Russia underestimated Ukraine, since it's not going easy for them. And as you see, never underestimate a country's potential.
  • Mexico has the same problem that most of its brethren have - rampant overpopulation. To say that another way: the amount of resources available per capita are extremely low. People keep pointing to these national economies - such as India and China - as being powerful, but the typical person living in these nations is still very poor because of that same problem. IF these overpopulated nations could improve their educational systems such that there was a surplus of well-educated professionals, AND if they could prevent those same professionals from leaving the country (to find much more lucrative jobs in other countries), then they could show the same growth that China has shown in the last 20 years. *** For example: India has the surplus of educated professionals but can't keep many of them (because they are not a repressive totalitarian regime that prevents emigration). Their economic growth is impressive...but not so remarkable as China's was (China's has slowed significantly, BTW) and not likely to be as long as the best and brightest are lured away by much greater wealth available in Western nations.
