I think they were nameless in the original fairy tale so Disney gave them names for the film. Apparently the rejected names included Tubby, Baldy, Deafy, Shorty, Wheezy, Lazy, Jumpy, Dizzey, Hickey, Gabby, Nifty, Sniffy, Swift, Puffy, Stuffy & Burpy.
