Repent - Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Humble yourself 1 Peter 5:6 Baptism - 1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: John 3:3 3 Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. ” 4“How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Can he enter his mother’s womb a second time to be born?” 5Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit. 7 Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes. You hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” John 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. 18 Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God.” Gal 5:24 25 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Prayer as the bible teaches you. Read your bible, even if its just the New Testament to begin with, read it and read it. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Proverbs 19:17 Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed. Faith without works is dead. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=James+2%3A14-26+&version=NKJV

Pray, talk to Him. Learn of Him by reading scripture. Repent of your sins.

If you are in need of repentance, repent while there is still time. Once you build a relationship with Jesus, reading the Bible and praying will help you rejoice even more. John 17:17 "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy Word is truth." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

TexasescimoNice. I capitalized a couple of words in the KJV at the beginning of John 17. Jesus and God do want us to come to know God as well as Christ Jesus. John 17:1-3 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, FATHER, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know THEE the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Jenny's Gone On VacationThanks for your feedback! The Father and the Son have always glorified each other since the beginning of the world. (John 17:5)

TexasescimoYes, likely since before the beginning of the world. (Micah 5:2) And you, O Beth?le·hem Eph?ra·thah, The one too little to be among the thousands of Judah, From you will come out for me the one to be ruler in Israel, Whose origin is from ancient times, from the days of long ago. (Colossians 1:15, 16) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16?because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created through him and for him. (Revelation 3:14) “To the angel of the congregation in La·o·di·ce?a write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God: (Proverbs 8:22) Jehovah produced me as the beginning of his way, The earliest of his achievements of long ago. (John 6:57) Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will live because of me.

Jenny's Gone On VacationChange the tune. Jesus is from Everlasting. If you can prove that Jesus was created, then you have an argument, cause Colossians 1:15-16 and Revelation 3:14 is the creation of The Temple of the Holy Spirit. John 2:19-21 "Jesus answered them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20 The Jews then said, It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days? 21 But He was speaking about the temple of His body." While Proverbs 8:22 is about Lady Wisdom in Proverbs chapter 8. Proverbs 8:1 "Does not wisdom call? Does not understanding raise her voice?"
-
Texasescimoin Hebrew, which assigns gender to its nouns (as do many other languages), the word for “wisdom” is always in the feminine gender. This would continue to be the case even though wisdom is personified. The Greek word for “love” in the expression “God is love” (1Jo 4:8) is also in the feminine gender but that does not make God feminine. Solomon, the principal writer of Proverbs (Pr 1:1), applied the title qo·he?leth (congregator) to himself (Ec 1:1) and this word is also in the feminine gender.
-
TexasescimoWhere does Colossians 1:15-16 and Revelation 3:14 say that it is the creation of The Temple of the Holy Spirit? (Colossians 1:15, 16) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created through him and for him. (Revelation 3:14) “To the angel of the congregation in Laodicea write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God
-
Jenny's Gone On VacationQuote: "the word for “wisdom” is always in the feminine gender." Being in the feminine gender, Proverbs chapter 1 is referring to Lady Wisdom. Read it in context.
-
Jenny's Gone On VacationQuote: "Where does Colossians 1:15-16 and Revelation 3:14 say that it is the creation of The Temple of the Holy Spirit?" Where does Proverbs chapter 8 MENTION the name of Jesus?????????????????????
-
Jenny's Gone On VacationYou can't prove Jesus was created, but I can prove, Jesus is the firstborn of all creation if you also read Colossians chapter 1 in context. Colossians 1:18 "And He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might be preeminent."
-
Jenny's Gone On VacationAs you see, where's your argument?
-
TexasescimoSo Solomon is female since congregator is in the feminine gender here? (Ecclesiastes 1:1) The words of the congregator, the son of David, the king in Jerusalem. So God is female since Love is in the feminine gender here? (1 John 4:8) Whoever does not love has not come to know God, because God is love.
-
TexasescimoRead it for what it says. (Colossians 1:15, 16) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created through him and for him. ... ... ... ... ... (Revelation 3:14) “To the angel of the congregation in Laodica write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God:

TexasescimoDoes God live because of someone else? (John 6:57) Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
-
TexasescimoWhen was God's origin? (Micah 5:2) And you, O Beth?le·hem Eph?ra·thah, The one too little to be among the thousands of Judah, From you will come out for me the one to be ruler in Israel, Whose origin is from ancient times, from the days of long ago.
-
TexasescimoThis is not a game. This is life and death. Removing God's name and watering down who God is by making Him out to be some 3 part distant entity rather than a personal God is not right. (John 17:1-3) Jesus spoke these things, and raising his eyes to heaven, he said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your son so that your son may glorify you, 2?just as you have given him authority over all flesh, so that he may give everlasting life to all those whom you have given to him. 3?This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
-
Jenny's Gone On VacationQuote: "So Solomon is female since congregator is in the feminine gender here?" Not quite, Solomon who wrote the book of Proverbs writes in regards to a woman who is seeking for Lady Wisdom in Proverbs chapter 1. It is why the chapter refers to a woman in verse 1. Again, there is no name that indicates Jesus in Proverbs 8:22 or in the chapter.
-
Jenny's Gone On VacationQuote: "Read it for what it says. (Colossians 1:15, 16) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;" I've read it many times. An Almighty God would NOT need another being to participate in the Creation. *Facepalm*
-
Jenny's Gone On VacationBut the following verses in Colossians 1:18 makes sense to know Jesus is the firstborn from the dead. Once again, you don't have an argument.
-
Jenny's Gone On VacationQuote: "Does God live because of someone else? (John 6:57)" Very silly! Don't forget about the Godhead term. Colossians 2:9 "For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."
-
OrangeDonRump"If you can prove that Jesus was created, then you have an argument" Funny, coming from someone who can't even prove Jesus is real.
-
Jenny's Gone On VacationOrangeD, archaeologists have proved physical evidence of Roman crucifixions such as that of Jesus described in the New Testament. The most detailed record of the life and death of Jesus comes from the four Gospels and other New Testament writings.

This is an excellent question. Here at James 4:8 It says “ Draw close to God and he will draw close to you” In order to do this we must pray. Prayer is humbly speaking to God. You should pray to him regularly. Thus you can feel close to him as to a dear friend. 1 Thessalonians says, “Pray Constantly” For more information on this subject please visit jworg.

Good question. I posted a few verses from the following article entitled: How Jehovah Draws Close to Us....... https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/ws20140815/jehovah-draws-close-to-us/ ....(James 4:8) Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you indecisive ones. (Acts 17:26, 27) And he made out of one man every nation of men to dwell on the entire surface of the earth, and he decreed the appointed times and the set limits of where men would dwell, 27 so that they would seek God, if they might grope for him and really find him, although, in fact, he is not far off from each one of us. (Psalm 145:18) Jehovah is near to all those calling on him, To all who call on him in truth. (Isaiah 55:6) Search for Jehovah while he may be found. Call to him while he is near. (Psalm 65:2) O Hearer of prayer, to you people of all sorts will come.

Once you accept and declare Jesus Christ as your Saviour, and live by His requirements (not those of man) you are as close to the Lord God as you will ever be. There is nothing more you can do.
-
As other religions teach to call onto other names besides Jesus: you can't go to the Father by going around the Son. John 10:1 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber." John 10:9 "I Am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture."

The ransom does not automatically bring everlasting life to all humans. Rather, Jesus said in prayer to God: “This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.” John 17:3 If someone told you that a man saved your life when you were yet a child, would you not be interested in learning more about that man and why he saved you? Jehovah God, who gave the lifesaving gift of the ransom, wants you not only to know who he is but also to come into a close relationship with him. Draw close to God, the Bible urges, and he will draw close to you. James 4:8
-
The first way to get close to God is to read his written word the Bible actually study this book find a group of people that also study this book I would recommend Jehovah's witnesses they're not the most exciting people but you will learn the truth. And when you see bad things in your life stopping and instead good things start to happen to you and your family and everybody around you you'll know that you're on to something
-
The word of God says draw close to God and he'll draw close to you.
-
Pray with your mind instead of saying words; for example use words to ask your arm to rise above your head, it doesn't work. Then try use your mind to communicate with your arm so it will rise above your head, that will work! Same with God; try communicate with deep mindful thinking instead of words.😇😇

Go to church every sunday.

1. Grow in appreciation of the integrity of God's Word (Numbers 23:19) and His goodness. Romans 8:32 “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” God is doing His best at all times to show us His complete goodness, that there’s no darkness in Him (I John 1:5), and that everything good that ever comes our way is from Him (James 1:17). Recognize every negative or evil is from His arch-enemy, the Devil (I Peter 5:8). 2. Seek treasures in heaven. archive.org/details/bibletellsmeso01wier/page/92 Colossians 3:1-4 “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For...your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” Matthew 6:19-21 “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth... But... treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” 3. Acquire an awareness of your spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3). Find fellowships and classes that teach about God’s good, perfect, and giving nature in great detail, how he abundantly supplies our every need, and even guarantees our future. You will no doubt want to share this learning with your fellow man. II Corinthians 9:7,8 “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:” You’ll soon be living such a miracle-filled lifestyle you won’t recognize yourself.

That is a very insightful question, if you think about it; how do you get to know anyone, well most of the time you start with their name; so, how do you find what Gods name is? If you look at Psalms 83:18 KJV says "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." So pray to Jehovah and read His Bible. I hope this was helpful and if you would like more information on Bible topics please login to JW.org.

Fashion yourself in God's image that is to be God like.

This is a great question: The Bible shows that it is possible to have a relationship with God. Effort is required though. Even some anointed Christians in the first century needed to strengthen their relationship with Jehovah God. The Christian overseer James had to warn some regarding their fleshly tendencies and loss of spiritual cleanness. In the midst of that counsel, he gave this powerful exhortation: “Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you.” (James 4:1-12) For more information on this subject please visit wwwjworg

How to get closer to God? This is a great question! and believe it or not, not as hard as you might think, Why? because we have the word of God. By reading and studying it we can get to know Him and thereby get a better understanding of our God and be able to draw closer to him. Take for instance the words of Jesus at John 17:3 This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. NWT So how do we get to know anybody? First we start by getting to know their name, Right? Now the question is what is Gods Name? Again we go to the Bible. Byington says at Psalm 83:18 "And know it is you alone that are named Jehovah, on high over all the earth also American Standard Version, Psalm 83:18 That they may know that thou alone, whose name is Jehovah, Art the Most High over all the earth. Then the King James Version Psalm 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth. and another New World Translation Study Bible Psalm 83:18, May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth. Also Gods name is very Important to him, just as our name is to us; look at what Isaiah 42:8 "I am Jehovah. That is my name; I give my glory to no one else, Nor my praise to graven images. NWT I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise unto graven images. ASV I am Jehovah, that is my name, and I will not give my glory to another and my praise to sculptures. Byington. Here is a link to a article titled Who Is God? I hope you find it interesting. https://www.jw.org/finder?srcid=jwlshare&wtlocale=E&prefer=lang&docid=2009080
