Why say there should be a limit to compassion when God does not limit compassion?

Archie Bunker I do. When I see that my compassion is being wasted or taken advantage of. There are times when lines have to be drawn. -
Rick Myres But God does not limit compassion. Aren't we to live like Jesus to show His example?

Archie Bunker Only if you believe in that sort of thing. But what if someone doesn't? Does that mean they can't be compassionate? Or set limits on their compassion?

Rick Myres My own brother showed me no compassion for my hearing loss after I repeat many time for him. He was not listening to Jesus he was listening to Satan.

Rick Myres Yes he was but not because I cannot hear that well it was his showing no compassion. We are supposed to show compassion all the time and if a person is mad they need to anyway is is called self control. His hearing is worse than mine.

Archie Bunker Yeah. I'd probably say it's more frustration than Satan. I'm deaf as a door nail and I understand when people get frustrated. Maybe you need to show more compassion for him. People in glass houses, and all that.....
