  • I wouldn't. It seems a bit hostile. Are you studying to be a police officer or just wondering how far you can push them before getting shot?

      It's not like having your hands on your hips is the same as having them in your pockets. And you know what *I* think is hostile? Standing with your arms crossed. It comes across to me as being very mean and uninviting. And yet, arms crossed is the most popular body language for citizens during police encounters.

      Crossing your arms sets a certain tone with body language. That's one of the things the cops key on, your body language.
