  • No, I never concern myself much with perverse cults. You follow orders blindly.. Russia is communistic and thus officially atheistic. I can easily see why atheists do not want to hear your tirades. The USA is mostly Christian, and Christians believe JWs are an evil cult that uses an altered Bible that is invalid to them. Whose drum are you marching to? Ask yourself that! Most people think your group is quite wrong.

Try comparing scriptures from the NWT to other translations in BIBLEGATEWAY.COM and you will see the meanings have not changed...maybe just some words slightly... SHOW me the same scripture from the two translations which vary in meaning please,
    • Jenny_Rizzo
ReiSan, quote: "No, I never concern myself much with perverse cults. You follow orders blindly.." Wow, such a hateful answer. You can at least be educative and say you are not concerned about what the Jehovah's Witness teach. You don't have to insult pugwashjv.
    • pugwashjw65
Thanks, Jenny...I appreciate the support...It is what the Bible teaches that is important...that main one being Matthew 28: 19,20...and USING God's name....(Exodus 6:3) And I used to appear to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as God Almighty, but with regard to my name Jehovah I did not make myself known to them. A clear separation of title and name.
    • Jenny_Rizzo
pugs, no worries. Exodus 6:3 was given to the Jews. In the New Testament, which name is there to confess?
    • Jenny_Rizzo
ReiSan, you are all confused. pugwashjv is looking for a reasonable discussion, and not insults. You cannot speak the truth, unless you can provide reference on which Christian denominations claim the Jehovah's Witness are beyond the ordinary. The Bible teaches not to condemn, so obviously those in whom you refer to are beyond Scripture.
    • pugwashjw65
Hi Jenny...thanks for the support...as for your query on God;s name...it has not changed... And you might notice that is stays just about the same in most languages...with very similar spellings... It is his NAME that Satan discredits....and even Jesus said..." I will make your NAME manifest..." (John 17:6) ?I have made your name manifest to the men whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have observed your word.

Jesus made the Father's name known to the Jews, not the Gentiles. Read Acts 4:12

And indeed, let us listen to Scripture to know that there is only one name to confess in the New Testament by Acts 4:12.

Jehovah did not sent His Son for us to forget God. (Philippians 2:9-11) For this very reason, God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name, 10?so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend—of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground— 11?and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. (1 Corinthians 15:24-28) Next, the end, when he hands over the Kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. 25?For he must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet. 26?And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing. 27?For God “subjected all things under his feet.” But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’ it is evident that this does not include the One who subjected all things to him. 28?But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone.

(Exodus 3:15) Then God said once more to Moses: “This is what you are to say to the Israelites, ‘Jehovah the God of your forefathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered from generation to generation. (Isaiah 42:8) I am Jehovah. That is my name; I give my glory to no one else, Nor my praise to graven images. (Matthew 6:9) “You must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. (John 17:26) I have made your name known to them and will make it known, so that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in union with them.” (Hebrews 2:12, 13) as he says: “I will declare your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will praise you with song.” 13?And again: “I will put my trust in him.” And again: “Look! I and the young children, whom Jehovah gave me.”

You have to have faith in both God and Jesus. (John 14:1) “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Exercise faith in God; exercise faith also in me. (John 17:3) This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 1:3) May you have undeserved kindness and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 1:3) Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, (Ephesians 1:2, 3) May you have undeserved kindness and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3?Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for he has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in union with Christ, (Philippians 1:1) Paul and Timothy, slaves of Christ Jesus, to all the holy ones in union with Christ Jesus who are in Phi·lip?pi, along with overseers and ministerial servants: (Colossians 1:3) We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, (2 Timothy 1:2) to Timothy, a beloved child: May you have undeserved kindness, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus sends us just as God sent Him. Jesus doesn't do away with God and we don't do away with God or Jesus. (John 20:17) Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.’” (John 20:21) Jesus said to them again: “May you have peace. Just as the Father has sent me, I also am sending you.” (John 20:31) But these have been written down so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and because of believing, you may have life by means of his name. (1 Corinthians 8:5, 6) For even though there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6?there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him.
  • Don't be surprised if the world hates you. Jesus went through the worst hostility. (John 15:18) Those who follow a hated Savior cannot be surprised when they experience a measure of His suffering. Planting a seed and moving on from place to place is all you can do.

Quote: "When you are too aggressive in shoving your beliefs down everyone's throats," Actually, you are supporting my religious beliefs by leaving me feedback. Thanks to you, this is the way I can further express myself. Quote: "Jesus never existed." You can't disprove Jesus' existence. The historical facts on Flavius Josephus have proven. Quote: "The purpose of spreading religions is to allow the priests" Biblical Christianity does not accept priests.

Catholicism has plenty of priests, and it's the oldest version of Christianity. Jenny claims Catholics aren't true Christians. The Bible says that as you judge others, so shall yohyu be judged.

Hi Jenny, I posted yesterday but my post, along with 1 post by ReiSan and two of yours have been removed. All of my post from yesterday are gone. Reisan posted a long post starting with: ReiSan: JennyRizzo is illogical. The logical burden of proof is hers when she claims Jesus existed. Such scholar as Richard Dawkins, David Mills, Michael Martin, Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens, etc. have proven that Jesus never existed. ...... Jenny Rizzo: Quote: "The logical burden of proof is hers when she claims Jesus existed. Such scholar as Richard Dawkins," Actually, Richard Dawkins believes Jesus existed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5EjA-JNiVk Jenny Rizzo: *Facepalm* Texasescimo: Most staunch atheist believe that Jesus existed, just not that he did all of the miracles attributed to him nor that he is the Son of God. Pure silly to say that someone that affected the world so much never existed. THE TALMUD This collection of Jewish rabbinic writings, dating from the third to the sixth centuries C.E., shows that even Jesus? enemies affirmed his existence. One passage says that on ?the Passover Yeshu [Jesus] the Nazarean was hanged,? which is historically correct. (Babylonian Talmud, Sanhedrin 43a, Munich Codex; see John 19:14-16.) Another states: ?May we produce no son or pupil who disgraces himself in public like the Nazarene??a title often applied to Jesus.?Babylonian Talmud, Berakoth 17b, footnote, Munich Codex; see Luke 18:37. Opposers who observed the miracles did not question that they had occurred. When Jesus resurrected his friend Lazarus, Jesus? religious enemies did not question that Lazarus had been dead. How could they? Lazarus had been buried for four days. (John 11:45-48; 12:9-11) Even centuries after Jesus? death, the writers of the Jewish Talmud continued to acknowledge that Jesus had miraculous powers. They simply questioned the source of those powers. Similarly, when Jesus? disciples were brought before a Jewish court, the question they were asked was not ?Did you perform a miracle?? But they were asked: ?By what power or in whose name did you do this???Acts 4:1-13. TACITUS (c. 56-120 C.E., or Common Era) Tacitus is considered to be one of the greatest of the ancient Roman historians. His Annals deal with the Roman Empire from 14 C.E. to 68 C.E. (Jesus died in 33 C.E.) Tacitus wrote that when a great fire devastated Rome in 64 C.E., Emperor Nero was considered responsible. But Tacitus wrote that Nero accused the Christians in order to ?scotch the rumour.? Then Tacitus said: ?Christus, the founder of the name [Christian], had undergone the death penalty in the reign of Tiberius, by sentence of the procurator Pontius Pilatus.??Annals, XV, 44. SUETONIUS (c. 69?a. 122 C.E.) In his Lives of the Caesars, this Roman historian recorded events during the reigns of the first 11 Roman emperors. The section on Claudius refers to turmoil among the Jews in Rome that was likely caused by disputes over Jesus. (Acts 18:2) Suetonius wrote: ?Since the Jews constantly made disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus [Christus], he [Claudius] expelled them from Rome.? (The Deified Claudius, XXV, 4) Although wrongly accusing Jesus of creating disturbances, Suetonius did not doubt his existence PLINY THE YOUNGER (c. 61-113 C.E.) This Roman author and administrator in Bithynia (modern Turkey) wrote to Roman Emperor Trajan about how to deal with the Christians in that province. Pliny said that he tried to force Christians to recant, executing any who refused to do so. He explained: ?Those who . . . repeated after me an invocation to the [pagan] Gods, and offered adoration, with wine and frankincense, to your image . . . and who finally cursed Christ . . . , I thought it proper to discharge.??Pliny?Letters, Book X, XCVI. FLAVIUS JOSEPHUS (c. 37-100 C.E.) This Jewish priest and historian states that Annas, a Jewish high priest who continued to wield political influence, ?convened the judges of the Sanhedrin [the Jewish

Hello Texasescimo, recently in the past month, many posts have been removed. I have been on the new Answerbag since the later months of 2017. Everything then was okay. Like the old Answerbag, it seems like certain users are going around flagging answers and comments. That happens if they don't like what others have to say, especially if their views are anti-Religion. The best thing to do is save your information so it can be pasted again.
    • Texasescimo
I went through that in the old answerbag. "The Chief" was able to restore my answers to the ones that I saved the URL's to. ...... A few questions if you don't mind:... . How do you tell how old a question or answer is? ..... . How do you friend request someone? ... .. .How do you private message someone? ... .. . How to you appeal a comment being deleted as several of mine were deleted yesterday? .. .. Is there a way to skip a line in a comment or indent for a paragraph?
    • Jenny's Gone On Vacation
Texasescimo, old questions usually have a lot of answers from the old software. The friend request feature was replaced with the follow button on users' profiles, while private messages are sent through email addresses. You can't do much when comments get deleted, but re-add them when all the smoke has cleared. I believe there are some moderators and anti-Religion members who want to keep this site free from controversy within all ABer's.
    • Texasescimo

  • (Hebrews 4:12) "For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints from the marrow, and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart." Totalitarian governments have been able to bind men, but the inspired Word of God they have been unable to restrain or bind.

About 71% of the people now living ar3en't Christians. Christianity is dying in Europe and never had many followers in Asia.
  • Believe in whatever you want, but it doesn't mean I have to put up with you guys knocking on my door all the damn time.
    • pugwashjw65
Archie...a simple note on your door...or letterbox, will make it clear you do not want " the good news"... We accept that...but you have to live with your decision... come ARMAGEDDON...
    • pugwashjw65
And even if you happen to die before then, you ill be resurrected and given a second chance... '(Revelation 20:12, 13) And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. The dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the Grave gave up the dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds.
    • Archie Bunker
Why do I have to leave a note on my door? How about you realize that you still have to answer to man's laws. Like the trespassing laws. I'm not required to post No Trespassing signs on my property. Coming onto to my property without my permission is a decision that you'll have to live with, no matter how short that time may be. You worry should about Armageddon when you come knocking on my door.
  • No. Its just to try and prove in a closed circular proof that your religion is right. And you are programmed to do as you're told by your religion. I prefer to choose to read scriptures for personal edification and ask God for the explanation. I trust James 1:5-6.
  • No one is anti-J.W. to the extent you are trying to play the victim for. Muslims, Jews, women and gays get far more gyp and hate than the J.W group. As for "being difficult" goes - door to door salesmen and J.Ws have two things in common: both always chap your door at a bad time and both want you to supend your better judgement to listen to what they have to say.
    • pugwashjw65
And WHAT is better than " the good news"...when we see the present condition of the world these days...politically, and socially, it's not too good. The ' good news' is for a better world...it is not life in heaven after death...it is for THIS world...no hate, no crime, no badness of any sort...the progenitor of it all has been locked up... (Revelation 20:1-3) And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 2 He seized the dragon, the original serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for 1,000 years. 3 And he hurled him into the abyss and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not mislead the nations anymore until the 1,000 years were ended. After this he must be released for a little while.

pugwash, how about you do what you want with your beliefs and not tell other people what they ought to be doing with theirs.

  • All religions want more followers, so that their leaders will have more power and more money. JWs are quite obnoxious. If any ever knock on my door, I will call the police and charge them with trespassing. I do not want to hear their dumb beleifs that are a perverted version of Christianity. I do not want to hear Christians, and that goes triple for JWs.
    • Jenny's Gone On Vacation
Quote: "JWs are quite obnoxious." The Jehovah's Witness are not notorious for asking for money. They don't even believe in tithing as mainstream Christianity does.
  • The JW bible proves it is not truth and a lie. I have read portions of your bible and have seen in several places where it is false, John 1 when compared with the KJV shows JW's put other gods before the Lord God. The Word is not "a god" but "was God". JW teachings are false in many ways from what I have read from a number of sources.
