Some electronical devices have a temperature security inside to shut them down if they threaten to overheat, Is the television properly positioned according to the manual? Did you cover any of the ventilation holes at the top or bottom?

Some TVs have a sleep timer as one of their features. Go into your TV's menu and see if for some reason the sleep timer is set to 30 minutes.
