I loved him in School of Rock, but he is very manic and it is understandable that you might not like him...he is a bit like that uncle who turned up to family do's..you liked him at the time...but you didn't want to see him too often.

I can see how people would think he is not funny, but I find his sense of humor rich. I like him a lot, but he has made some stinker movies.

I dislike his voice and his attitude. They completely turn me off to anything he is doing ever. I actually wish he would go into a hole and die. But that is just my opinion.

I liked him in Tenacious D. Sometimes I find him sort of "eh..."ish. But mostly he's not bad, though I can see why someone would disagree with me.

Well i thnk his music is bad but his acting skills only suit school of rock kinda things - not the holiday (has any1 seen that - if so what do ya think?)

Yes, I don't understand how he gets work. He raises an eyebrow and people think it's funny? John Belushi did it much better. Unoriginal and not funny.

I think his brand of humor is hilarious. Tenacious D is great. If you see him in anything not rated R, then he isn't to be judged. He is also a pretty good musician with a good vocal range.

I think he's funny. I mean, in the Tenacious D movie, he tripped on mushrooms and thought a Sasquatch was his father. Then he rode him through the air while singing a song. Anyone whose mind could even dream up something like that is funny in my book.

No talent. Like a lot of these comedians these days. Needing props or swear words or stupid faces to make them funny. No good stuff any more like Don Rickles or Robin Williams. Natural they are.

He is quite possibly the most annoying person on earth. how is he funny? All he does is sing nonsensical shit to the same rhythm as every song on his appaulling album. He simply sacrifices his integrity for a cheap laugh. I think he must of realised he's a fat and ugly at a young age so thought why not be a nob on tv to see if he can make people laugh. Basically he is a glorified clown.

Wathching him on Jay Leno right now 09/01/08, and changing the channel... NOW. He is not funny, he is not interacting with the crowd at all.... he responds to Jay with overly exaggerated motions, immature noises, and awkward comments in an attempt to be funny. Jay even prompts him with potential discussion topics to no avail... Black comes across as painfully self-absorbed and socially retarted... ugggggh BORING! Need I say more? It's like watching a 5th grader who thinks he's "the sh*t" show off in front of a bunch of adults. How does someone like this get on TV??? The only thing saving his Leno appearance from total on-air silence is the fake crowd laughing piped in after every word uttered by Black. blahhhhhhhhhh.

I am SO glad you asked this question!!! I can't stand Jack Black!! He was on Craig Ferguson tonight, and he lived up to my low expectations. He is pathetic - worse than I would be. (and I'm an engineer!) Jack - give it up and let funny guys make us laugh. Sorry.
