My best friend (other than my boyfriend who is also my best friend) (for the past 24 years) lives in England, but grew up and lived in East London, South Africa (where I live) from the age of 6, until she went back to the UK when she was about 24. We keep in regular contact via email and Facebook. So, whenever I hear the word "England" I think of my best pal, Amanda.

The most powerful economic and military superpower in the world. Only America is a little bit bigger and of course the British Empire. England is the most important political power in the world at the side of the USA. No other nations ever will be able to compete with the extreme superior culture and economy of England. England just is outstanding great and unique among the few leading nations in the whole world.

Friendly market-stall owners. I cant help it - i travel abroad a lot, and market-stall owners are always generally nice, but i really feel like im back home when i see a lovely stall owner shouting "Alright love, hows your week been, fancy a butchers at this lot?" Part of me knows that sometimes they are just trying to make a sale, but its still great to hear, and the fact that they make an effort to make you feel worthy is always really nice XD.
