Lol, well, that's a reverse of "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water", which means to be careful not to throw away good things when trying to get rid of the bad. Think of someone who is overly cautious, to the point that they won't do anything fun because they might get hurt. Like the twins' dad in the Royal Tenenbaums.
