Nah. Unless it was night.
-
At night. Guess would just feel more secure.
-
Yeah. I do it at cottage. I feel more secure this way.
-
Actually, I live in such a house; but I still close the curtains at night.
-
I would have at least one room completely private, but I wouldn't for the majority of the house.
-
Yeah, I probably would.
-
I live in a house that is totally private; it was built in 1832; it is a conserved building which means that it has (mostly) its original crown glass single-glazed windowpanes. The heat loss from the windows is horrifying. By drawing the curtains some of this heat loss is reduced. I draw the curtains, in fact, I shall do it as soon as I have finished posting this answer at 2049 hrs local time.
-
no. I don't now and I have houses around me
-
Nope, dont even do it in town
-
only if I was planing on waking up after the sun came up. I love large windows but I also like it dark.
-
Yes, I feel naked somehow if the curtains are left open at night.
-
I don't close the curtains now, i like to look at the sky, so no i wouldn't:)+
-
When I lived down under, my house was set in five acres of land and our nearest neighbor was about a mile away at first it was hard to get used to he privacy and silence. For the first few months we would close the curtains but after a while we got used to it. We never had to lock our doors and it was safe to leave most stuff outside the front or back door.
-
I rarely close the blinds My neighbour has often seen more than hes expected when Ive walked past the side window lol
-
Yes. I am very paranoid.
-
I never close the drapes or curtains now unless I'm having a terrible migraine. I love light too much and have no need to block or hide. I want to wake up and see the sky and the trees, the view. At night I love seeing the moonlight.
-
My home in North Carolina is, like, TOTALLY private. I never bother to close the blinds. I keep scaring off the deer. :-) Down here in Florida, I gotta be a lot more careful, though. There's at least one oldster with her finger about an inch away from 911. If she's an ABer, I'll bet she DR's with the other finger! :-) +5

Probably not, I enjoy looking at the night sky.
-
Sure would. I like my privacy. Just because you live in a house that's totally private doesn't mean people won't wander where they shouldn't go. Someone could drive down your driveway thinking it's a public road or to engage in illicit activity and wind up being able to see all that goes on in your house when you have the lights on, just like their own personal television set. Also, closing the curtains at night would help eliminate that darn old Mr. Sun first thing in the A.M.
-
No such a thing as total privacy in a home. Long-range camera lenses are abundant for this purpose. If someone wants to see you, they will. Why take the chance? Close the curtains and avoid temptation.
-
Yes; I would .... Four years ago, I lived out in the country ... about a mile off the main road and then about a quarter mile from the dirt road .... However; KNOWING that there was NO ONE around ... I still closed my curtains and drapes ect ..every single night .
-
I still might, because you never know exactly how private you may have it.
-
I think I would out of habit.
-
Nope, I don't close them now and I live in the suburbs, but nobody can accidentally see in my windows; they'd have to be peeping on purpose and I don't live with that level of paranoia. I like to see the stars at night and to wake up with the sun shining in. :)
-
Don't close them now...so so.
-
Yes I am pretty sure I would still feel the need to close them. +5
-
Yes definitely I would. Telescopes have been discovered!
-
+5 yes i am afraid of the dark
-
Yes,The light keeps me awake. I need the dark.
-
Yes. I wouldn't want my captives to see daylight.
-
There is no such thing as a totally private anything.
-
Yes,don't want the critters looking in at me!
-
what do you mean at night, my curtains and blinds are always closed. the last time i opened my windows was in the weeks following hurricane Katrina.
-
You mean no one can get in or out? Curtains would not be necessary.
-
