I'm fond of anchovies but I know not everyone is.
-
Nasty..yuck :)
-
I love anchovies, but few other people I know do. The only way to decide is to try them yourself.
-
Salty ! Very. . .salty !
-
i love them. they go GREAT on lamb while its roasting. a combo i never would have thought of!
-
Eww, I don't care for them, but that is my opinion. Some people love them.
-
Pretty nasty salty stuff
-
I have never ate them!
-
Only in ceasar salad dressing nice, hairy little things are nasty otherwise
-
They remind me of sardines...YUMMY!
-
Decent when on pizza.....Very salty little critters.
-
Depends on the person. An identical twins could look the same, but one might like anchovies while the other dislikes it. Personally, I love them, because I love salty foods.
-
I like them but they are an "acquired" taste that is to say you hate them or love them. Some guys (and I suppose girls) say that they have.....well sexual connotations and remind them of .....ahem.. well try anchovies for yourself :-)
-
I personally like them. However, there are places where I wouldn't like the taste of them... like... pizzas...
-
I love em on hot pizza with cold beer! Yummy!
-
N A S T Y for sure+5.
-
I think when they are used as an ingredient, they re very tasty and add just the right touch of salty to some dishes. but on their own, I don't like them.
-
They are good when used in moderation. That means just a little is enough. One or two on a whole pizza or as an accent to pasta or other Italian food.
-
Never had them. What I do love are sardines and kippered snacks with hot sauce doused on it.
-
Anchovies are a good flavoring. A few pieces on a pizza or in a Caesar Salad add a nice salty counterpoint. But they're so intense and salty that I find it difficult to eat them straight, and it's easy to overdo it when you're flavoring things with them.
-
I have developed a taste for them. Sometimes I will put 4 in between some crackers and eat them.
-
I quite liked them when i ate fish, i always got them on my pizza :)
-
absolutely horrible !!! sorry
-
+3 That's a hard question to answer. It may sound strange but although to me they don't taste particularly nice, I feel that I want to eat them at certain times. Every so often I get a craving for them and then after I've eaten them I think that I won't be having them again. But a couple of months later I'll get the craving again. It's like an ultra mild addiction.
-
Nasty nasty nasty. Had 'em on salad nicoise and didn't think much of 'em at all. +3
-
When you live by the sea, every fish is delicious.
-
They really aren't too bad themselves, if you can get around all that salty brine.
-
Believe it or not... They are good with pasta, Marinara sauce, raisins and califlower baked in the oven like baked ziti.
-
nice and salty
-
They are salty and fishy and add a great deal of flavor and texture to other dishes. I like them.
-
I like them, though I prefer to eat them in combination with other foods, not on their own. They are excellent in various salads, and I have a pork tenderloin and peppers recipe that uses them for added flavor.
-
Fishy and extremely salty! If I ate them I'd be very swollen and sore from the sodium and water retention.
-
-
Army VeteranThat's not exactly how the water retention process works.
-
-
Unpopular opinion, but to me they're great! I like to eat them with crackers, but only the unsalted ones, because anchovies are very salty.
-
