Hello
-
A simple hello. I do have caller ID. When I know who it is there is no telling what I might say. If this question was in the "crazy thoughts" category, I would say that my phone has not talked to me yet. LOL j/k
-
Depends on who's calling. If it's a friend, then it's usually something along the lines of "'Allo darleeng!" or "Baaaaaaaaaaaby!" and if it's my husband then it's "Hey babe, what's up?" and if I don't know then I say "Hello?" in my most lovely and professional voice. Oh and at work it used to be "Thank you for choosing AMC Saratoga 14, this is Tami, how can I help you?" People started talking halfway through that stupid long greeting, haha I always felt so dumb having to say it but I got in trouble if I didn't!
-
Some time I say, "Hello." Sometimes it is, "Jola." I also use, "Shalom."
-
yeah
-
Hello
-
"Hello?" When I don't know who it is. If I answer one of my sisters phones I say "thank you for calling ______'s phone, she's not available at the moment please hold." then I hand her the phone. If it's my phone and it's one of my friends or family I answer with "Grand Central Station, this is Paula speaking, how can I help you?"
-
"What d'you want? Im watching the goddamn news!?"
-
Yello!
-
I always say, "Hello?"
-
AHOY HOY
-
"This is big mac... what's your beef?" OR "Thank you for calling the..." And then I realize I'm at home
-
My own phone - a simple "Hello?" about 99.99% of the time. Occasionally (during the holidays) I threw in a "Buddy the Elf, What's you're favorite color?" Just for fun. At work it's always "*Agency* *name*, this is Jennifer". Nothing fun there.
-
I say,, "What is it?"
-
to people i don't know/adults i say "hello?.." and to my friends i say "hey!" or "what do you want?" :P lol
-
"Yeeeeeeeeeeeeessss?" or just "What?!" I once answered "What??" to my dad and I got in big trouble. Thank God for caller ID.
-
Depends on which phone I am answering. Company cell phone would be "Lofy Construction, this is Darryl" Personal cell phone, "Hello", business phone, "La Tour Lutherie, may I help you", home phone, "Hello".
-
You rang?
-
Either "Umm, hello?" or "Heyy." Nobody usually calls me.
-
Youve caught me right the F^%$ in the middle of something. Tos better be good. Of course I usually let them leave a message.
-
Sometimes, if it's late in the day at work, I say, as steadily as possible, " I am unavailable to answer the phone right now. Please leave a message." It only works if the caller doesn't know me very well. Otherwise it's like, "ya Brick, that's funny, now here what I need you to do......."
-
One of several things. Either: "Huh-lu?" "Holla" "Hello?" "Hel-uuu" (my voice rises with the "uuu") "Yaoh!" (kind of like "yo" but with a wierd twist on it) "Talk to meh" "Hello dear/dahling/love/dove" or if it's a telemarketer "hello and thank you for calling the Satanistic Cult hot line center. For information on this religion and rituals that are due to take place in Graveyards around your area, please press one" heh. no I've only used that once. funny experience. and lastly if I'm in a formal mood "hello you've reached the [insert my last name here] residence, this is miranda, may I ask who's calling please?"
-
I say: HELLO?? and when i order chinese takeout they usually say: What is it that you want? pork-fried rice or white rice?
-
hey whassup?
-
Hellloooo
-
"Hello" In different tones depending on my mood at the time.
-
If i know who is calling i wind them by saying something like "Hello, Battersea Dogs Home" or "You have reached the 02 voicemail messaging service for (my number) please leave your message after the tone.....BEEP!" The funny thing is they sometimes go for it!
-
Hello?
-
I always say 'Hello?'.
-
I usually say hello or if It is a business call then I say "this is David"
-
hello. if i am @ work, then i say thank you for calling (insert company name)how may i direct your call.
-
On my cell phone: "Hello?" My home phone is screened, so the answering machine gets that one. At work: Name of company, followed with "This is <<insert my name>>"
-
I don't answer the phone, I let the machine get it.
-
"who is this?" if my instincts says its a serial killer "hello?"if i know that person
-
Usually, since it is a business call 90% of the time (although I can tell from Caller ID usually) I answer with my name (ChronicYinYang of course).
-
Hello or if its someone I know, what sup or yo.
-
My personal cellphone."HELL"!
-
When answering my phone, I say a number of things, the more popular one's being: "Yello," and "Yes". If someone calls that I know and I want to have some fun, I answer, "Ching Fu's Chinese Food! Would you like to try our special today??" If I answer my sister's cellphone I say "____'s phone, may I ask who's calling?" And I hold them on the phone, having pointless converstaion, until she can finish whatever it is she's doing to get the phone. Other times- when woken up from my sleep, in example- I simply say, "huh??"
-
if it is a friend, im like WHAT DO U WANT FROM MY LIFE?ther like hi while im like bye =) haha im just so mean but i love them...if its someone i DONT know i act nice and polite....oh hello!i didnt recognize u!how are you? =)

-
I use the very imaginative and highly unusual, "Hello."
-
"Hello?" ----- "Who is this?"
-
i usully say "sup" or "stop calling me!!"
-
yello!
-

-
If it's someone I know, I will answer in a weird voice and tell them they have the wrong number and try to talk dirty to them then come clean. if i Don't know them, I just Hi!
-
Hello, City Morgue... you kill em' we chill em'. This is better than my previous response.
-
I refuse to answer the phone at home, and screen all calls through the answering machine. If I do pick up I always say "Hello, I'm here!" At work it is always "Good morning/afternoon, (Company name), C...... speaking."
-
If it's a call to the home phone I simply pick up and say hello. If it's a call to my mobile, because my mobile is a work number then if it's a number I don't know I say "Hello, (my name) speaking,..." - the reason is that my work have unlisted numbers due to the protective requirements we're under - we have kids who are on protective orders from court and due to protecting them from family members (at times), the outgoing numbers are confidential - even to us staff.
-
ususally a greek word for yes "ne" everyone is used to it
-
'City morgue, spare parts' tends to make a few people stutter..............
-
I say hello, unless it's one of my kids...then I usually say..what (as in what now?..lol)
-
Angie Punani Hotline Angie speeking how may i be of ASS istance?
-
"Moshi moooosh" I live in Japan!
-
"Ahoy hoy" is standard for inter-office calling for me. In fact, one place I worked, I got the entire office saying it, so no matter who you called, they'd always answer "ahoy hoy!" Incoming calls in the office get the typical, "Good morning/afternoon/evening, Computer Solutions." (It used to be, "Thank you for calling MacLean Stevens by Lifetouch, this is Amara, how may I help you?" which ended up being ridiculous.) And at home, "WHAT?"
-
YO! ... to my friends Hello Moto Imports ... for business
-

-

-
"Good morning! This is Michelle--uhm...wait, good Afternoon?...ah crap, I'm at home not work......"Hello?" Get those messed up sometimes...good Lord I work too much....lol
-

-
At work I say: "This is Deborah" and that usually works well since I am new and the phone keeps ringing for several mysterious people who no longer work there.
-
wassup
-
when its anyone other than people I personally know, I say Hello, but if its a telemarketer, I pick up by saying "I love you" and if its a recording, I have a conversation with it. When its my friends, I say "Datsun Shop" because thats what my brother used to say when he lived here, and sometimes I'll say "Wang Long's Chinese Happy Food Place Give You Rice Long Time" (That last one could sound racist, but its an in-joke with my friends.
-
Speak to me!
-
usually, my mom call first, if anybody calls when i'm back home, i say "hi mom!" even thought it's not my mom...
-
i just say hello or hiya if its someone i know
-
At work, I say "Thank you for calling _____, this is Jen". At home I have caller ID so depending on if it is a friend or not I have special greetings for some friends and most I just say "Hello?".
-
Yes, please. I was taught to be polite. And it's worth.
-
talk to me
-
If it's my home phone, I simply say "Hello?" If it's my cell phone, then I say "Make sure you dialed correctly, because I think you have the wrong number."
-
I actually say, "Moshi moshi! Wussup?" But that's just me!
-

-
"hello" unless i know who it is and i'm in a weird mood in which case it could be "howdy" or "boo" or just about anything.
-

-
At work: "Regeneration Team, David speaking, how can I help?" At home: "Hello?"
-
I say, "Hello?"
-
I say huh
-
I usually say ' yello ' or if im in a better mood i say ' a hoyhoy '.
-
On the landline at home, "Hello?" On my cell phone, "Hello?" or "Hi, <name>" if it's someone who's in my caller ID. At work, depends on where I'm working and what they want me to say. :-)

-
"Good morning, (Name of Company), this is (my name), how can I help you?" Or personally, "Hello?"
