There is never an answer to one of my questions I do not give points to unless I missed it by accident. I always give points to every question i answer and some I don't answer. I give points to many good answers even for other people's questions. So, no, I don't hog my points as they are worthless unless applied to questions and answers and you will not run out of a supply of them, even though you can limit out on some people. Never fear, there will be more to give:-) Points aren't for people...they are for answers and questions.

I try to give points to interesting or useful questions, and to answers that seem to be pertinent and informed.

Ah! Now.. are you asking this question in order to get points? or to give them to the people who answer? If I give points for this question, am I only doing it to demonstrate that I am not a point hogger? Or, if I do not give points for this question, does that make me a point hogger? I wonder how I would have viewed the question if it had been worded differently - eg, Are you a point fairy? hmmm... we will never know....

Wait, is it true that the points that I give aren't subtracted from my points total? ;) If that's true, then here's +10 for your question! :p Actually, I'm not really a PH. Sometimes I've found myself +6ing all the answers to a question without reading them, only to find that I've UR'd some rather objectionable posts. :-0 I don't do that anymore and I think that's about the only reduction I've made in that regard. I enjoy giving points. I give points to funny questions or questions that engage conversations. I also give points to people who answer my questions. thats what makes this AB even more fun and watching your points go up and helping others with their points.

I guess you could say that I am, since I don't give points to every question that I answer. I only give them out if I feel they are deserved. The are more meaningful that way. I think everyone should do that. It would make getting points actually mean something, and it would stop this absurdly fast level-raising.

No, I'm the type who gives the max that I can to questions and answers alike. I don't necessarily have to agree with someone to give them points, provided they are not rude or abusive. Quite often I'll give points to questions and answers that I have no intention of answering myself, sometimes I leave a comment sometimes I don't. I don't ask a lot of questions so I give a lot more points than I get. It's fun to be a point fairy and it doesn't cost a penny. I don't understand the logic of being a point hog.

Absolutely not. I give points to every question I ask & answer. I also read other peoples comments & give points to those as well. Unless I run out, but then I try to come back and add when I can

I am always the type that does the way I wish to be done to. Golden rule. I will give points. I don't see why people don't. They are free and you can't do anything with them. Some people act like if they give 5 points, they lose 5 points out of their total. I don't know if they don't know how it works or don't care but It is discouraging to put thought into a question or answer and not get even 1 point for it and I get a LOT of that and I will always give points.
