Texting isn't bad, per se. However, I am of the opinion that it further depersonalizes communication. Plus, you'll probably get arthritis in your thumbs later in life.

It's dangerous if you are trying to text and drive at the same time. The only other bad thing I can think of is that it causes some people to start spelling things like this-- Hi hw r u?

I wouldnt say that it is BAD, but its made people more socially distant. We no longer have to pick up the phone or even talk to anyone face to face anymore; all you have to do is pick up a phone and type. Its more convenient sometimes, but in the long run I think its more important to have those interpersonal relationships in person. :)

I dont think its bad I just dont understand why people would rather type to each other rather than talk to each other .My daughter and her bf text all the time , but to me if they would just talk instead of texting there conversation time would be alot less time with alot more meaning .

It's taking from the rich to give to the poor. We each need to keep our own money. The Government should cut out some of the social programs and make do with less.....Oh sh## you wrote texting.

I agree that texting itself isn't bad but the distraction caused by texting can bad as well as the depersonalized communication and the disproportionate amount of time and attention paid to it by some people
