I saw this film in 1971 in my high school Humanities class. The teacher was actually showing it as a laugher for us students. We howled all the way through it!

The first time I watched it I was just in shock that it was meant to be taken seriously. I don't see it as funny, I think it's really sad. It wasn't just a film... that's the way some people really viewed cannabis use. Our government continues on with the same madness technique - trying to scare people with headlines about "super pot" which has always been around just not as readily available. Watch it in full:

You should all watch "Reefer Madness: The Musical." That is a very funny movie! It makes fun of the original and I love it. Definitely one of my favorite movies.
