Arent we all the sons (& daughters) of God? I mean God created us, its pretty much the definition of a son.
-
..."God" has many names, as there are many religions. It amazes me that people can't figure this out. Sheesh. At their core, most religions promote the same things - love yourself, your neighbor, be nice to one another, don't kill people, respect everyone, etc. Just like there are numerous cultures in the world, so there are many different facets of "God" and they are just different translations of each other. There shouldn't be any of this "My god and kick your god's ass!" it should be "You're god is my god. Lets stop killing each other over it!" Having said that, I'm an atheist and even I figured that one out.
-
Maybe God is manifested in many different ways. Maybe religion is a journey through which there are many doors-not a fundamentalist dogma.
-
Jesus never said he was the son of God, Paul was the one who said that.
-
There were no reliable DNA tests back then.. Now a days, he would end up in the Maury Povish Show.
-
Ok, I should've avoided this question but.. There really is no proof that Jesus called himself the son of god. Not in the bible, at least.
-
If Jesus was just a prophet it wouldnt make sense for him to come as being foretold as the messiah..savior of the world..predicted in a few thousands years before and mentioned a few hundred times thoughout the bible by different authors and times..how he is to be born, live and die NO prophet even Muhammad had that kind of prediction about himself nor Buddah.Their lives were not set in time or foretold to such precised accuratecy. This the proof that Jesus is more than a prophet..he is what he came to be The Saviour of the World sent by God.
-
Two different religions. You cant expect them to agree. Two brothers, each one says they are right. They share the same father. But they were separated at an early age and raised as an only child.

Muslims believe that God(Allah) has no parents or childrens and that he is not a person. There is also only one Allah. The old testament of the Christians actualy states no where that Jesus is the Son of God. After Paul came he and others changed the bible and said that Jesus will take your sins for you. What doesnt make sense is if jesus is the son of god then why would God punish his own Son for the sins of his slaves/servants(us)!? If jesus is God then how is he also the son of god? You should read the old testament and the Quran(book of Muslims). Make sure the Quran is an English translation though(its originally in Arabic). If you actually read the bible it says in plain clear writing that pork is not allowed. It says that forked hooved animals are not allowed(a pig). Hope that helped!
-
Erm....God is Allah.

I may give you more than you wanted to know, but that is because the Bible came before Muhammad, and that (the Son of God) is what He was and is, in fulfilment of Scripture (Is. 7:14; 9:6; 53; Mic. 5:2). By saying that He was the Son of God, Jesus was revealing His essential oneness with the Father, that of being God in nature (John 5:18) "Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God." See http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/DEITYofCHRIST.html But Muhammad would not yield to the God of the Bible and could not read, and likely got the Biblical stories from people who were Biblically illiterate, and garbled them. But he evidently thought he was faithful and said to check him out with the people of the Book (Jews and Christians: Sura 5:48-52). When Islam realized the contradictions between the Bible – which as the prior source is the authority – and the Quran then they came up with the theory that the Bible was changed wherever it contradicts the Quran ( which is more often than it agrees with it).. However, that is a lie that can only be defended in a vacuum, as not only would that require not simply changes but virtually a complete rewriting of the New Testament and substantial changes to the Old! Yet we have thousands of extant Biblical manuscripts (partial or entire), including those that substantially predate the Quran, and absolutely NONE of them support the Islamic contradictions and allegations, and every single manuscript of the pertinent passages declares (among many other things Islam denies) that Christ was the son of God, who died for our sins and rose again. Moreover, though claiming to be a prophet, unlike prophets in the Bible Muhammad did not prophecy as in making predictions that came true. He did not even prepare well for his demise, thus the major divisions in Islam today. Even in a literary sense his writings are vastly inferior to the Bible, as they are largely disjointed revelations of only one writer, with nary an historical narratives or systematic teachings. And though reverenced as a holy man, Muhammad was a decidedly unholy soul, who murdered unbelievers once he was established in power, and raised caravans to get loot, as his "revelations" corresponded to his desires, and had sex with a 9 year old wife. And rather than being a religion of peaceful submission, the Quran and Hadith both promote killing and physical force in it's name and purposes, just the contrary to the teaching of the New Testament, and much different than the Old as well. As Muhammad falls into the class of false prophets which the Lord Jesus warned of in Mt. 2424, it promotes dead religion, without the life giving Holy Spirit and salvation on Christ's expense and credit, that of His sinless shed blood and righteousness (Rm. 3:25-5:1). And as Islam has not the Spirit of Christ it persecutes true Christians. (Gal 4:29) "But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now." (Acts 3:19) "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;" (Acts 13:39) "And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses." http://bibleprobe.com/mohammed.htm... http://www.answering-islam.org http://www.muslimhope.com/

He called himself the Son of Man. The scriptures that PeacebyJesus quotes from the Gospel of John are taken out of context. John 5:18 quotes "the Jews," not Yeshua (Jesus). John 10:36 refers to "him whom the Father hath sanctified," and could mean ANYONE who preached the "Word of God." He also said to the people of Jerusalem "Ye are all gods." . WHO SAYS that Allah chose Yeshua? I've been through seven different translations of the Bible, including the Apocrypha, Genesis to Revelation, and I can't find any reference to Allah.
-
He didn't say which god he was the son of. I don't assume that Jehovah [JHVH] and Allah are the same god. They are not.
-
He didn't.
-
We Muslims are never bitter. We accept everything in life, good or bad, as the will of Allah. Everything is fate. In your religion I think you would call it fake.
-
If <insert unprovable premise here>, then why did <insert unprovable quote here>? There is no accurate answer to this conjecture...I mean question.
-
There is no evidence whatsoever that Jesus said He was the Son of God in any manner different from the idea that we are all children of Yahweh. Christians believe that He said this, but Muslims do not. Muslims believe that the doctrine of the Trinity and Jesus as the only Son of God are later distortions and perversions of His teachings.

Sounds like Jesus was all confused as to who his daddy really was and not without reason, may I add

570ad - 632ad this was when muhammed was alive. so tell me how can he prophesize an event that happened approx 600 years before he was born? i thought a prophecy was meant to reveal what is to happen in the future?
-
That's a pretty big if! . Allah chose Isa as a prophet. Isa didn't die on the cross, he snuck off while some other poor schumck got crucified in his place. Isa didn't claim to be the Son of God. . I don't see how Isa could have been Jesus. .
-
God is a generic term meaning a deity. Any deity.

Jesus

Well relgious proclamations are not my speciality, but taking this situation to a common sence brings the following conclusion: Say, tomorrow one Arab (or whoever)decides to announce, that he's a World's bellybutton, that I have to obey his will and dedicaate my life to serve him and advetrize him around the world... My most logic reaction would be to send him far away off, because I am holy enough to be a Goddess of Love and Care among the ones who love me, I'm a God's gift to them and to myself... and I don't have time for someone else's demagogy.
-
After 40 years of study, my conclusion is that Yeshua (the real name of the man we now call Jesus), and no one else, chose himself as a prophet. He knew the old scriptures and prophecies, including some that have since been lost, and planned out his life to fit them. Note that Prophet, here, means revealer of truths, not foreteller of the future. He blew the foretelling thing pretty badly with that "This generation shall not pass away" blunder.
-
"Our Father who art in Heaven......." Don't all Christians call God, Father?

To LuckyLefty: I'm sorry to disillusion you but there is a mountain of evidence in the Bible that Jesus claimed to be both "the Son of God" and, more importantly, "the Son of Man" (The divine world-creator and world-judge who sits on God's throne). Just for starters, you should check out the following passages: Mt 8:20; 9:2, 6; 10:23; 12:8, 32, 40; 13:37, 41; 16:27-28; 17:1-13, 22; 20:18, 25-28; 25:31-26:2, 26:24; 26:45; 26;63-68; 27:40; MK 2:1-12, 23-28; 8:31-38; 10:32-34, 35-45; 12:35-37; 14:17-21, 41; LK 5:17-26; 6:1-5; 7:28-34; 9:18-27, 43-45, 57-58; 10:21-22; 11:29-30; 12:8-10; 18:31-33; 19:1-10; 20:48… and the entire Gospel of John. And also consider these: In Matthew 14:33, his disciples declared, “You are certainly the son of God!” and Jesus does not contradict them, but affirms that he agrees with them by his subsequent behavior. MT 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, "I praise Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou didst hide these things from the wise and intelligent and didst reveal them to babes. 26 "Yes, Father, for thus it was well-pleasing in Thy sight. 27 "All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son, except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 28 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and YOU SHALL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30 "For My yoke is easy, and My load is light." MT 16:13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He began asking His disciples, saying, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" 14 And they said, "Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets." 15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." 17 And Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven." MK 14: 61 ... Again the high priest was questioning Him, and saying to Him, "Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?" 62 And Jesus said, "I AM; and you shall see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN." 63 And tearing his clothes, the high priest said, "What further need do we have of witnesses? 64 "You have heard the blasphemy; how does it seem to you?" And they all condemned Him to be deserving of death. LK 22:66 And when it was day, the Council of elders of the people assembled, both chief priests and scribes, and they led Him away to their council chamber, saying, 67 "If You are the Christ, tell us." But He said to them, "If I tell you, you will not believe; 68 and if I ask a question, you will not answer. 69 "But from now on THE SON OF MAN WILL BE SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND of the power OF GOD." 70 And they all said, "Are You the Son of God, then?" And He said to them, "Yes, I am." 71 And they said, "What further need do we have of testimony? For we have heard it ourselves from His own mouth." Just because you don't like the evidence doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Even if one doubts its validity does not allow one to simply deny its existance and baldly assert "there is no evidence." Of course the great problem of denying (in defiance of ALL the evidence) that Jesus ever made such claims is that it was for making those claims that they crucified him. And that's what every source, Christian, Pagan and Jewish, says until "rationalists" in the 18th century wanted to re-create Jesus in their own image, and so simply denied that he ever made such claims on the sole grounds that THEIR imagined Jesus would never say such things.

The claim that Jesus is The Son of God -- properly understood -- is not contradicted by the Koran or Islamic doctrine, but in fact confirmed by it. "The Son of God" is a Semitic expression that means "the man who perfectly reflects the moral character of God." The Koran says that Jesus is not only the Messiah, but that: 1: God created Jesus to perfectly conform to God’s likeness, just as He had created Adam, and as Adam had been before he marred God’s likeness in himself by his rebellion and pride. [III.30] 2: Jesus is the Word of God whom God “cast into Mary with a spirit from God. [IV.130] ... the point of which is that Jesus, in character and moral purity, is the perfect verisimilitude of God - something not even claimed for Mohammed, let alone any other prophet. The problem for Islam is that Jesus claimed to be "The Son of Man". While "A son of man" just means a human being (presumably male), "THE son of man" is a term from Jewish mysticism and apocalyptic in the 2nd Temple period. The being called "the son of man" is an immortal, eternal, uncreated being who sits upon the Throne of God, manifesting God's character and will to the heavenly host, and ruling all creation in God's Name. As "The God who is God" was held to be so supremely holy and righteous, not even the Cherubim could look upon Him without being incinerated, Jewish divines and mystics came to believe that there needed to be an intermediary, who was so much like God that no meaningful distinction could be made between them - and yet they insisted on making one... but that didn't stop them or the heavenly host from worshipping The Son of Man as God. They also found evidence for this being in the various theophanies of the Scriptures, particularly the enigmatic "Angel of the Lord" who seemed to both represent God and yet also be God in some mystical way: He is worshipped as God by the patriarchs, and He accepts that worship as appropriate and proper. Jewish apocalypticists in this period also believed that this being, The Son of Man, had not only created all the heavens and the earth and everything in them in the Name of God, but would come at the general resurrection at the end of the age to judge all the living and the dead, and to re-establish Eden on Earth. It is this being whom Jesus repeatedly and continuously claimed to be, and it is the universal attestation of the authors of the NT and of the early Church that this is who Jesus was and is. This stands in direct contradiction of the doctrines of Islam which deny the pre-existence of Jesus (before His Incarnation), and also deny that he sits upon the Throne of God, receiving worship as God, and ruling all creation in the Name of God.

Because that's what he is!! First god impregnated a virgin... then the virgin gave birth to the person who impregnated her..because that's totally possible & something god would do and then god took off to the heavens, at the same time growing up on earth, then god was pinned to a cross and murdered, and then god took himself back to himself, and then sent himself back to earth to tell people he'll be right back and then he took off again! Then a whole religion was based on a woman who really stuck to her story and god who had nothing better to do but call himself his own father and son and keep messing with people's head up to this day... and throw in a ghost somewhere and it all makes sense. why didn't you ever see this logic?
-
Wow...I had no idea I asked such a controversial question! :O
-
There are different ways that the Holy Bible has been worded but all meaning the same thing. The King James Version, The Living Bible, etc. But each verse each chapter says the same thing just in a different way. I also must say this. Jesus wasnt 'just another prophet'. He was the Ultimate Sacrifice. The One and the Only. God sent His son to DIe a death for sins he did not commit. For my sins and your sins. And eventhough Jesus is still denied today and looked at as "Just another prophet like the great Muhammed," He is the only one who proclaimed Himself as the Only Way to the Father. No one goes to the Father but through Him. You will see. Every one will . God has the final word. The Beginning and the End.
-
Well, you're trying to make sense out of two contradictory religions here. They will never agree on this point, so there really isn't any point in trying. The Bible never suggested God choosing Jesus as a prophet. The Quran never endorsed the jewish belief in a Messiah. Since christianity stems from judiaism, and islam and jewish religions are polar opposites, it is impossible to meld the two ideas.

In response to lucky and Theby's comments under Luckys answer: you guys are so steeped in ignorance you resort to criticism instead of just answering the hard questions about your faith. i can gurantee you i have studied more about your beliefs than you have. your ability in intelligent conversation declines gradually after you have taken the shahada. and theby im a "she" not a "he". you female reverts need compassion not criticism. you are reading me wrongly. Just as you believe Jesus is a mere prophet I believe Mo is a false prophet but you cant see pass my criticism of Mo to allow me to be a friend. i would love to get to know you i really would..youre an Aussie right? Im kiwi. Jesus very clearly stated He is the Son of God. You reverts from Christianity know this but once infected by Mo's teaching you deny it. Even if Jesus was a mere prophet His teaching (if you disregard the fact He claimed to be God) was far superior in His message of God's love for all people than Mo was. May Jesus' peace be upon you. Cheers
-
He wasn't a prophet if you were a Christian you would have learned he was/is the Son of God.
-
Allah did not choose Jesus for anything..God the Father manifested himself in the form of God the Son so he could walk with his children..you can chose to believe or not believe, as God has given us free will..but anyone who reads the book of daniel knows that Jesus is Lord...Daniel was written generations before the birth of christ..yet fortells it..details his life and death..Muslims enjoy warping religion to suit their needs....for thousands of years genesis spoke of abraham being willing to sacrafice his son ..the son he had with sara....along comes muhammed and it is all rewritten..the boy was really ishameal the son of abraham and Hagar...who the muslims consider themselves decedents of...they will warp anything..even though te old testament wrote thousands of years before the birth of muhammed said that ishameal was a wild ass of a ma ad his decendants will be trouble makers in the world....again the bible is always right...
-
"...the HWY Dept, and AAA have mapped them all out. No one has done the same for supposed paths to God" Uh so you didn't say that? And they could easily all end up at the same place. Heaven, and nirvana could easily be the same thing. Just a different way to get there. The differences in the practice of the faith is the whole point Clad. Different paths to the same place.
-
Never once did Jesus say he was the Son of God, God, or anything of the sort. When asked outright if he was the son of God, Jesus didn't say yes but "if YOU say so." In fact the bible has a verse where Jesus was called a prophet and Adam the son of God. Luke 3:23-38 and Matthew 21:11, See for yourself.
-
I do not think that there is any problem with Jesus claiming to be the Son of God from either a Jewish or Islamic perspective. The title of Son of God is not meant to be literally and it refers to a title of the Messiah as King of Israel. There are no connotations of divinity implied. It is based on 2 Samuel 7:14 where God says that future Kings of Israel will be his sons. "I will be his father and he shall be my Son..." Furthermore, Jesus instructed all his followers to refer to God as their Father in the lords prayer.(Our Father who is in Heaven...) This implies that everyone including Jews and Muslims are the sons and daughters of God without being divine.
-
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that who ever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." JOHN 3:16 Jesus said to them " If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me." John 8:42 " I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" JOHN 6:6-7
-
jesus never said that in the qur'an god said: who said that jesus is the son of god, he will get in hell
-
The Holy Bible does say that Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus' mother Mary was a virgin. MATTHEW 1:18 His Mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. The Holy spirit is the spirit of God, so if Mary was with child through the Holy Spirit that would make Jesus the Son of God. does it matter if Jesus said it or not? The Bible clearly states that Jesus is the Son of God.

The Lord Jesus Christ ABSOLUTELY claimed to be God the Father! Did He even stand up and say, "I am God"? No. But let's look at what He did do: When questioned about Himself and His authority, with reference to Moses He said, "Before Abraham was, I AM." He used the same words that God the Father had used to explain to Moses Who He was. People have tried to explain this away, but the text is quite clear. When men lowered a paralyzed man through a hole in the roof in order to get him before Jesus Chirst, what did He say? He said, "Your sins are forgiven". Who can forgive sins? God alone. At this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, "This fellow is blaspheming!" Knowing their thoughts (Who can know thoughts except for God?), Jesus said, "Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts? Which is easier: to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...." Then he said to the paralytic, "Get up, take your mat and go home." The Lord Jesus Christ exercised an ability that is reserved for God ALONE. What does that mean? That means that CLEARLY Jesus was telling those people there I AM GOD! Think!
-
Cause poor Jaysus didn't know who his daddy was
-
Cause Jesus kept asking Allah, 'are you my daddy? Are you my daddy?' And Allah kept saying no, so he went with the other guy out of spite (remember, no DNA testing back then to prove otherwise)
-
No one is blinder than those who will not see.
-
Jesus never claimed to be the son of god. That addition came long after he died and even then wasn't universally believed by all Christian sects until after the Council of Nicea, over four hundred years after Christ's death.

g.......o..........d what a mystery

Lets not harrass other religions. If you believe your way, keep to your beliefs!

In original Hebrew, "son of GOD" literally means "SERVANT OF GOD". See the proofs here: http://www.answering-christianity.com/son_translation.htm Ask any religious Jew and he'd tell you that every religious jew considers himself 'Son of God'. The "Son" Title: How come Christians take the "God's Son" title literally with Jesus (peace be upon him) and they don't take it literally for the rest of the prophets and people who were called the Sons of God? In John 3:16 Jesus was called God's only Begotten Son. In Exodus 4:22 "Thus saith Jehova, Isreal is my son, even my firstborn." Isreal was called God's First Son. In Jeremiah 31:9 "I am a father to Isreal, and Ephraim is my firstborn." Ephraim is God's First Son and First Born. In Psalm 2:7 "... Jehova had said onto me (David), thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee." David was called God's Begotten Son. The Bible says "Seth (is) the son of Adam" and that"Adam is the son of God." [Lk 3:36]

Don't sweat it. If there is a god we are ALL Sons and Daughters of God.
-
because Jesus grew up thinking he was the son of God. From the moment he was born he was thinking he was the son of Allah. He was the son of Jehovah. The son of YahWeh. The son of I AM. The son of Elohim. He is the son of all those names which is one...I AM. EL. Our Father. Our Friend. HaShem.
-
Do not ascribe to Jesus what he never said, present your authenticated proof of this if you really have, do not destroy yourselves with this false statements, Allaah Has never had a son nor will He have, He is far exalted obove this nonensense, moreover, jesus is honored by being a prophet of Allaah and enough it is as honor. When you will surely face him on the day of Judgement he will disown all those who mouthed such a sheer lie.

Isa is not the son of god..the jews have changed many things including the words of the bible, it is written in the quran that Isa never said he was the son of god all he said was that he was a slave under the command of god..jews believed in him and his book at first but many jews declined him and started making false stories at him, some became Christians believed in the bible, some didn't..some said they believed but infact they dont jews should die for what they have done to not only to isa but to many other prophets they are two twisted faced sac of shit. dont rate me bad im not a racist or anything im just viewing my point of view.
-
dunno...how do you know he said he was? just because people told u so or cause the bible said so...
-
The answer is simple. The Quran rejects the notion that God/The First/The Last/The Eternal/The Creator can have a man(a creation of the Creator) or any other creations as children or offspring of any kind. The Qurans says in Chapter 112 verse 3 "He begets not nor was He begotten." The literal and allegorical meaning is that The God of the Heavens has no children. The next exact verse of the same chapter translates "There is none comparable or co equal to Him" which further indicates the vast separation between The Majestic and his creations. The Quran also classifies Jesus as a Prophet and Messenger(The Psalms) but not as a "Son of God" so a Muslim will always reject the "SOn of God" title.

because the rest of us are as well.

No but Matt 8:25-28 Demon did. Matt 27:43 He was accused of saying it. Mark 15:9 centurions did. Luke 1:32 The Angel did. Luke 4:3 The false accuser did. John 1:34, Jn 3:18 and Jn 20:31 John did. Peter did and Jesus complemented him for it. Mat 16:16-17 And Simon Peter answered and said Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Jesus implies Jhn 9:35-37 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. Matt 26:63 the Priest connected this term to being the Messiah. Priest didn't believe that the Messiah was God so what did this term mean in 1st Century before greek converts entered the religion?
-
He didnt say that simply because he is not.
-
Jesus never told himself as the son of God. Many Scholars believe that the true bible is not available today. Let us take an example It is said in Bible that God created the Universe, Earth, Star, Moon in six days of a week and on seventh rested. Tell me why the supreme entity has to take rest. As on another place in bible it is given that the God doesn't Sleep nor takes rest.
-
my personal opinion, keep in mind that you have every right to disagree with me. the bible says countless times that there would be false prophets to keep us from salvation. i believe that islam was desighned by satan to do just that. so get this the muslims have declared a holy war. saying that by killing the "infidels" one would live in paradise with allah and their virgins etc etc. the definition of infidels is a non believer. would i rather choose to believe in allah who tells me to kill non believers or my God who tells me to love them so they may be with me in heaven one day? islam is so concerened with trashing christanity that they do not mind trashing themselves in the process. i think people should believe in what ever their heart tells them to. THE TRUTH SHALL PREVAIL...
-
We are all children of God. Jesus was a path to show us how to get back to the Father. Many mistake this to mean he was God's only son and we are all just shit out of luck.
-
God Sent Many Prophets, All Prophets of God God is the greatest NONE can match him. People of that day no doubt called him the son of god, as did they to many other prophets, but were they his followers? He had no powers of his own which means he was like the other prophets a "Human Being" The only powers he showed were through the will of the only one god. Making birds from clay, they were the will of god not Jesus. We are all the Childern of Adam. Jesus is the Son of Mary. You will find both Religions Islam and Christianity Will agree with them two statements.

Go read thru the older comments, by peacebyjesus.com and Stormarm. This has been settled soon after it was asked, and Islam and its denial of who Christ is does not have a leg to stand on. http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/DEITYofCHRIST.html http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/JESUS.Vs.Muhammad.html

if Jesus was god(mazallah).. there is a story where this man comes up to Jesus and calls him "good master", and Jesus replies asking “Why callest thou me good? There is none good but One that is God.” Now why would God say that?? I had many other questions besides this. In one study, 1 John 5:7 was said to be an addition to the text, not an original verse.and my friend go check in any of ur state library that this verse is indeed in question... and one more thing...read bible and i bet u will have doubts regarding many things and on reading holy quran no muslim can even have a small doubt..

to sandman by the way who on earth told u holy quran is written by prophet mohammad pbuh...what our prophet pbuh said is termed as hadeeth and holy quran is words of god guess u need more knowledge about it then go to site http://www.alislam.org/quran/about-quran.php and secondly we muslims dont try to disrespect other religions as u tryin to do... and if u talkd against my prophet pbuh..then lemme tel u one thing There are 40 authors of the books of the Bible. Most of them we know, but there are anonymous writers too. Some of the authors wrote one book, some wrote several. Moses is credited for the first five books of the Old Testament: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy which are called the Pentetuch. These books cover creation to his own death at the end of Deuteronomy. It's been suggested that another person, who took over the spiritual leadership of the Israelites, completed Deuteronomy. The books of Joshua, Judges, and Ruth are historical documents written before or during the reign of King David presumably by priestly historians. The Psalms were written by King David, Moses, Solomon, the sons of Korah, the sons of Asaph and Ethan the Ezrahite. There are also some Psalms that were written anonymously. Proverbs, Song of Solomon, and Ecclesiastes were written by King Solomon, though chapters 30 and 31 of Proverbs were written by Agur and Lemuel respectively. Isaiah, Hosea, Amos, Jonah, Micah, Nahum and Zephaniah were the prophets who penned the books with their names. The writers of Samuel, Kings, Esther, and Job are unnamed. Habakkuk, Joel, Obadiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi were written by the prophets' named respectively. Jeremiah wrote both Lamentations and Jeremiah while Ezra wrote Ezra, Nehemiah and possibly Chronicles. In the New Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John wrote their gospels and Luke also wrote the book of Acts. Paul is responsible for the Pauline Letters which are Romans, 1st Corinthians, 2nd Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1st Thessalonians, 2nd Thessalonians, 1st Timothy, 2nd Timothy, Titus, and Philemon. Peter of the Twelve Disciples wrote 1st and 2nd Peter. John, the Disciple that Jesus loved, wrote 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John and also Revelation. The book of James has been credited to James the brother of Jesus and the book of Jude was written by Jude the bother of James. Hebrews has been ascribed to the Apostle Paul but is generally considered to have been written anonymously. How many people wrote the Bible? Although the actual count of the authors of the Bible is 40, there wouldn't be the history and stories without the people who lived and told them. now we all know human and errors go hand in hand...bible is not same anywhere in this whole wide world... but holy quran no matter in which language it has been converted for its believers holy quran is same everywhere in this whole wide world...no matter whta time ..the oldest and the newest EDITION is the SAME.... hope u dont disrespect any further...

“One of the most striking differences between a cat and a lie is that a cat has only nine lives.” —Mark Twain, Pudd’nhead Wilson’s Calendar Son of God, son of David, or son of Man? Jesus is identified as “son of David” fourteen times in the New Testament, starting with the very first verse (Matthew 1:1). The Gospel of Luke documents forty-one generations between Jesus and David, while Matthew lists twenty-six. Jesus, a distant descendant, can only wear the “son of David” title metaphorically. But how then should we understand the title, “son of God?” The “Trilemma,” a common proposal of Christian missionaries, states that “Jesus was either a lunatic, a liar, or the Son of God, as he claimed to be.” For the sake of argument, let’s agree that Jesus was neither a lunatic nor a liar. Let’s also agree he was precisely what he claimed to be. But what, exactly, was that? Jesus called himself “Son of Man” frequently, consistently, perhaps even emphatically, but where did he call himself “Son of God?” Let’s back up. What does “Son of God” mean in the first place? No legitimate Christian sect suggests that God took a wife and had a child, and most certainly none conceive that God fathered a child through a human mother outside of marriage. Furthermore, to suggest that God physically mated with an element of His creation is so far beyond the limits of religious tolerance as to plummet down the sheer cliff of blasphemy, chasing the mythology of the Greeks. With no rational explanation available within the tenets of Christian doctrine, the only avenue for closure is to claim yet one more doctrinal mystery. Here is where the Muslim recalls the question posed in the Quran: “…How can He have a son when He has no consort?...” (Quran 6:101) …while others shout, “But God can do anything!” The Islamic position, however, is that God doesn’t do inappropriate things, only Godly things. In the Islamic viewpoint, God’s character is integral with His being and consistent with His majesty. So again, what does “Son of God” mean? And if Jesus Christ has exclusive rights to the term, why does the Bible record, “...for I (God) am a father to Israel, and Ephraim (i.e. Israel) is my firstborn” (Jeremiah 31:9) and, “...Israel is My son, even my firstborn” (Exodus 4:22)? Taken in the context of Romans 8:14, which reads, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God,” many scholars conclude that “Son of God” is metaphorical and, as with christos, doesn’t imply exclusivity. After all, The Oxford Dictionary of the Jewish Religion confirms that in Jewish idiom “Son of God” is clearly metaphorical. To quote, “Son of God, term occasionally found in Jewish literature, biblical and post-biblical, but nowhere implying physical descent from the Godhead.”[1] Hasting’s Bible Dictionary comments: In Semitic usage “sonship” is a conception somewhat loosely employed to denote moral rather than physical or metaphysical relationship. Thus “sons of Belial” (Jg 19:22 etc.) are wicked men, not descendants of Belial; and in the NT the “children of the bridechamber” are wedding guests. So a “son of God” is a man, or even a people, who reflect the character of God. There is little evidence that the title was used in Jewish circles of the Messiah, and a sonship which implied more than a moral relationship would be contrary to Jewish monotheism.[2] And in any case, the list of candidates for “son of God” begins with Adam, as per Luke 3:38: “...Adam, which was the son of God.” Those who rebut by quoting Matthew 3:17 (“And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, ‘This is My beloved son, in whom I am well pleased’”) have overlooked the point that the Bible describes many people, Israel and Adam included, as “sons of God.” Both II Samuel 7:13-14 and I Chronicles 22:10 read, “He (Solomon) shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his Father, and he shall be My son.” Entire nations are referred to as sons, or children of God. Examples include: Genesis 6:2, “That the sons of God saw the daughters of men…” Genesis 6:4, “There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men…” Deuteronomy 14:1, “Ye are the children of the Lord your God.” Job 1:6, “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD…” Job 2:1, “Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD…” Job 38:7, “When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?” Philippians 2:15, “that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation…” 1 John 3:1-2, “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! … Beloved, now we are children of God…” In Matthew 5:9 Jesus says, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” Later in Matthew 5:45, Jesus prescribed to his followers the attainment of noble attributes, “that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.” Not exclusively his Father, but their Father … Copyright © 2007 Dr. Laurence B. Christian clergy openly acknowledge that Jesus never called himself “son of God,” however they claim that others did. This too has an answer. Investigating the manuscripts that make up the New Testament, one finds that the alleged “sonship” of Jesus is based upon the mistranslation of two Greek words—pais and huios, both of which are translated as “son.” However, this translation appears disingenuous. The Greek word pais derives from the Hebrew ebed, which bears the primary meaning of servant, or slave. Hence, the primary translation of pais theou is “servant of God,” with “child” or “son of God” being an extravagant embellishment. According to the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament, “The Hebrew original of pais in the phrase pais theou, i.e., ebed, carries a stress on personal relationship and has first the sense of ‘slave.’”[1] This is all the more interesting because it dovetails perfectly with the prophecy of Isaiah 42:1, upheld in Matthew 12:18: “Behold, My servant [i.e., from the Greek pais] whom I have chosen, My beloved in whom my soul is well pleased …” Whether a person reads the King James Version, New King James Version, New Revised Standard Version, or New International Version, the word is “servant” in all cases. Considering that the purpose of revelation is to make the truth of God clear, one might think this passage an unsightly mole on the face of the doctrine of divine sonship. After all, what better place for God to have declared Jesus His son? What better place to have said, “Behold, My son whom I have begotten …”? But He didn’t say that. For that matter, the doctrine lacks biblical support in the recorded words of both Jesus and God, and there is good reason to wonder why. Unless, that is, Jesus was nothing more than the servant of God this passage describes. Regarding the religious use of the word ebed, “The term serves as an expression of humility used by the righteous before God.”[2] Furthermore, “After 100 B.C. pais theou more often means “servant of God,” as when applied to Moses, the prophets, or the three children (Bar. 1:20; 2:20; Dan. 9:35).”[3] A person can easily get into doctrinal quicksand: “Of eight instances of this phrase, one refers to Israel (Lk. 1:54), two refer to David (Lk 1:69; Acts 4:25), and the other five to Jesus (Mt. 12:18; Acts 3:13, 26; 4:27, 30)…. In the few instances in which Jesus is called pais theou we obviously have early tradition.”[4] So Jesus did not have exclusive rights to this term, and where it was employed the term “obviously” stemmed from “early tradition.” Furthermore, the translation, if impartial, should identify all individuals to whom the phrase was applied in similar manner. Such, however, has not been the case. Whereas pais has been translated “servant” in reference to David (Acts 4:25 and Luke 1:69) and Israel (Luke 1:54), it is translated “Son” or “holy child” in reference to Jesus (Acts 3:13; 3:26; 4:27; 4:30). Such preferential treatment is canonically consistent, but logically flawed. Lastly an interesting, if not key, religious parallel is uncovered: “Thus the Greek phrase pais tou theou, ‘servant of God,’ has exactly the same connotation as the Muslim name Abdallah—the ‘servant of Allah.’”[5] The symmetry is all the more shocking, for the Holy Qur’an relates Jesus as having identified himself as just this—Abdallah (abd being Arabic for slave or servant, Abd-Allah [also spelled “Abdullah”] meaning slave or servant of Allah). According to the story, when Mary returned to her family with the newborn Jesus, they accused her of being unchaste. Speaking from the cradle in a miracle that gave credence to his claims, baby Jesus defended his mother’s virtue with the words, “Inni Abdullah …” which means, “I am indeed a servant of Allah …” (TMQ 19:30) Translation of the New Testament Greek huios to “son” (in the literal meaning of the word) is similarly flawed. On page 1210 of Kittel and Friedrich’s Theological Dictionary of the New Testament, the meaning of huios journeys from the literal (Jesus the son of Mary), to mildly metaphorical (believers as sons of the king [Matt. 17:25-26]), to politely metaphorical (God’s elect being sons of Abraham [Luke 19:9]), to colloquially metaphorical (believers as God’s sons [Matt. 7:9 and Heb 12:5]), to spiritually metaphorical (students as sons of the Pharisees [Matt. 12:27, Acts 23:6]), to biologically metaphorical (as in John 19:26, where Jesus describes his favorite disciple to Mary as “her son”), to blindingly metaphorical as “sons of the kingdom” (Matt. 8:12), “sons of peace” (Luke. 10:6), “sons of light” (Luke. 16:8), and of everything from “sons of this world” (Luke 16:8) to “sons of thunder” (Mark 3:17). It is as if this misunderstood word for “son” is waving a big sign on which is painted in bold letters: METAPHOR! Or, as Stanton eloquently puts it, “Most scholars agree that the Aramaic or Hebrew word behind ‘son’ is ‘servant.’ So as the Spirit descends on Jesus at his baptism, Jesus is addressed by the voice from heaven in terms of Isaiah 42:1: ‘Behold my servant … my chosen … I have put my Spirit upon him.’ So although Mark 1:11 and 9:7 affirm that Jesus is called by God to a special messianic task, the emphasis is on Jesus’ role as the anointed servant, rather than as Son of God.”[6] Copyright © 2007 Dr. Laurence B. Well, in certain translations of the bible, various prophets and virtuous believers are also called sons of God. So one interpretation is that Jesus wasn't trying to set himself apart as the one and only son of God; he was saying that he was a child of God because he followed his will. This is just one possible explanation and it doesn't necessarily reflect the opinion of Lonely dragon.
-
Poor Jesus was so confused. Imagine how he must have felt the day he found out that he was his own father?
-
Because He could. The son of God is better than being the son of a cop! Imagine the sh*t you get away with!
-
Because the title "son of God" simply means a direct male-line descendant of King David (derived from Psalms 2) and was specifically used for people claiming to be the messiah.
-
Allah is just another name for God. Idiot.
-
....Allah chose Jesus as his prophet in Islam... Muslims do not believe Jesus was the Son of God. Christianity says Jesus is the son of God...emmanuel... But that is Christianity... that is where the big conflict comes from... Christianity Vs. Islam
-
Who says, and where is it said, that Allah CHOSE Jesus as a prophet? And as an Islamic prophet, at that.
-
Allah is not Jesus's father. Muslims have a different God than Christians. So according to Christians, Jesus is the son of God. Allah has no sons.
-
as there all fictional characters then it does'nt matter what he said.
-
Well, Muslims would say its because he got the message wrong. If Jesus did say that it was probably because he was trying to live up to the 'saviour' prophecy.

jibberjabbers Aug, 31 You've said, "Jews believed Jesus was a false prophet. Which is why they killed him." You need to do some homework. The Jews had little or nothing to do with his death. He was CRUCIFIED. That was a Roman execution, carried out by Romans under the orders of the Roman governor. For the Jews, it was unthinkable, and blasphemous, to hang a man on a tree, or on anything made of wood. If the Jews had been doing it, they would have stoned him to death. And he was not punished for claiming to be the son of God, for he never said that; he called himself "The Son of Man." That was a title which other prophets had held before him, and which meant a man wholly devoted to the service of God. He was punished because his followers thought he was (or should be) the King of the Jews. He certainly had a better claim than Herod, who came not from the land of Judaea, but from Idumaea. Herod had been installed as a puppet king by the Romans, because they could control him. The Romans understood Jesus as a pretender to the throne, therefore a rebel leading an insurrection. They had every reason to believe that, since he was a direct descendant of David and Solomon. Now here is where it gets tricky. The Romans had TWO men in prison, both named Jesus (actually in Hebrew their name was Yeshua). One was the man whom the Christians call their Messiah. The other was Jesus Bar Abbas, who was a leader of "the insurrection" (Mark 15:7). "Bar Abbas" means "the son of the father." . Your Jesus had been going about for three years talking about "my Father in Heaven." Now we have both Jesuses identified as "son of The Father," in Roman eyes at least, and both identified as leaders in the insurrection. Whatever the Jews may have been thinking when they cried out that they wanted "Jesus" released and "Jesus" killed, we shall never know. But, based upon what is printed in the Bible, it is quite clear that Jesus never called himself the Son of God, and that he was killed by the Romans, not the Jews.

According to quran he didn't.As we believe he is a prophet this means that he is a humanbeing like us and all other prophets 116 And when Allah will say: O Isa son of Marium! did you say to men, Take me and my mother for two gods besides Allah he will say: Glory be to Thee, it did not befit me that I should say what I had no right to (say); if I had said it, Thou wouldst indeed have known it; Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I do not know what is in Thy mind, surely Thou art the great Knower of the unseen things. 117 I did not say to them aught save what Thou didst enjoin me with: That serve Allah, my Lord and your Lord, and I was a witness of them so long as I was among them, but when Thou didst cause me to die, Thou wert the watcher over them, and Thou art witness of all things. 118 If Thou shouldst chastise them, then surely they are Thy servants; and if Thou shouldst forgive them, then surely Thou art the Mighty, the Wise. 119 Allah will say: This is the day when their truth shall benefit the truthful ones; they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide in them for ever: Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Allah; this is the mighty achievement. 120 Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is in them; and He has power over all things.

Many people tell us "but the Bible clearly says that Jesus is the Son of God. How can you say that Jesus(PBUH) is not God's only begotten son when Jesus(PBUH) says it so clearly in black and white in the Bible?" Well, first of all, as seen in the previous section, we first need to know the language of his people, the language of the Jews to whom he was speaking. Let us see how they understood this proclamation. Let us begin by asking: How many sons does the Bible tell us that God Almighty has? -Jacob (PBUH)is God's son and firstborn: "Israel is my son, even my firstborn" Exodus 4:22. -Solomon(PBUH) is God's son "He shall build an house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son": 2 Samuel 7:13-14. -Ephraim(PBUH) is God's firstborn: "for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn." Jeremiah 31:9 (who is God's firstborn? Israel or Ephraim?). -Adam(PBUH) is the son of God "Adam, which was the son of God." Luke 3:38 Common people (you and me) are the sons of God: "Ye are the children of the LORD your God" Deuteronomy 14:1. "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" Romans 8:14. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:" John 1:12. "That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;" Philippians 2:15. "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: ... now are we the sons of God" 1 John 3:1-2. "When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?" Job 38:7. "Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD," Job 2:1. "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD," Job 1:6. "when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men," Genesis 6:4. "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair" Genesis 6:2 As we can see, the use of the term "son of God" when describing normal human beings was not at all an uncommon practice among Jesus' people. There seems to be only two places in the Bible where Jesus (pbuh) refers to himself as "son of God." They are in John chapters 5 and 11. Hastings in "The dictionary of the Bible" says: "Whether Jesus used it of himself is doubtful." Regardless, we have already seen what is meant by this innocent title. However, Jesus is referred to as the "son of Man" (literally: "Human being") 81 times in the books of the Bible. In the Gospel of Barnabas, we are told that Jesus (pbuh) knew that mankind would make him a god after his departure and severely cautioned his followers from having anything to do with such people. Jesus was not the son of a human man (according to both the Bible and the holy Qur'an). However, we find him constantly saying "I am the son of man." Why?. It was because in the language of the Jews, that is how you say "I am a human being." What was he trying to tell us by constantly repeating and emphasizing to us throughout the New Testament "I am a human being," "I am a human being," "I am a human being"?. What had he foreseen? Think about it!. Do Christians emphasize this aspect of Jesus? The New Testament Greek word translated as "son" are "pias" and "paida" which mean "servant," or "son in the sense of servant." These are translated to "son" in reference to Jesus and "servant" in reference to all others in some translations of the Bible. As we are beginning to see, one of the most fundamental reasons why Jesus (pbuh) is considered God is due to extensive mistranslation. Islam teaches that Jesus (pbuh) was a human being, not a god. Jesus (pbuh) continually emphasized this to his followers throughout his mission. The Gospel of Barnabas also affirms this fact. Once again, Grolier's encyclopedia says: "...Most problematical of all is the title "Son of Man." This is the only title used repeatedly by Jesus as a self-designation, and there is no clear evidence that it was used as a title of majesty by the post-Easter church. Hence it is held by many to be authentic, since it passes the criterion of dissimilarity." Is Jesus (pbuh) a divine son of God because he called God "Father"? Well, how do all Christians refer to Him? What does Jesus himself have to tell us in this regard? Let us read "That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven..." Matthew 5:45 and "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Matthew 5:48: ...etc. There are countless verses in the Bible to this effect. To understand what is meant by the reference to "Father" we need only read John 8:42: "Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me." So the love of God and His prophets is what makes God someone's "father." Similarly, "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do." John 8:44 Obviously neither the Devil nor God is the physical father of any of them. The term "Father" in that day and age was used by the Jews in the same sense that Christians use the word "father" today to address a priest. It was not meant to be taken literally. Otherwise, the Bible would bear witness that every believer in Jesus (pbuh) is also the "physical" son of God. Further, please note that Joseph is called a "father" to Pharaoh in Genesis 45:8, and Job is called the "father" of the poor in Job 29:16. Once we read all of this we begin to understand how the Jews used to understand the reference to God Almighty as "Father." peace..:)

Before Jesus said he was the son of God he made it plain that we were all the children of God. So in saying he was the Son of God he would not have been saying he was anything out of the ordinary. Man chooses prophets by labelling them as such only Mohammad labelled Jesus a prophet and then claimed the same status for himself. So Mohammad was merely a man until chosen by his followers as a profit
-
Only Mohammad knows, because only Mohammad 600 years later said Jesus was a prophet and Allah only told Mohammad his secret confidente'. I would expect the answer to be held in the Koran somewhere. If not tuff titty the answers a lemon.

To some Muslims, the term "Son of God" brings up images of a sort of divine being with a goddess wife who together have somehow produced a child. So when Christians use the term in reference to Jesus, they immediately assume that the Christians are committing blasphemy by stating that God has participated in some sort of sexual union with another god - a goddess wife. The Muslims say: "the most gracious has betaken a son!" Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous! At it in the skies are about to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin, that they attributed a son to the Most Gracious, for it is not consonant with the majesty of the Most Gracious that he should beget a son. (The Qur'an, 5:88-92). This is naturally a ridiculous scenario and is a false assumption. No where in the Bible does it say that God had relations with anyone to produce a literal son, nor has Christianity taught that God produced a son through any physical act whatsoever. Such a thing is heretical. Nevertheless, the Bible in numerous places calls Jesus the Son of God. But, it does not mean that Jesus is the literal offspring of God. The Muslims need to ask what does that term mean, in its historic and biblical context. Instead of imposing upon the biblical term a meaning that is foreign to it, the Muslim should learn what the Bible means by the term and think of it in the context as revealed in the Scriptures where it is used. To not do that would be the same as me taking a term out of the Qur'an, remove it from its Qur'anic context, and applying another meaning to it and then saying what the Qur'an teaches is false. The term 'Son of God' is used in different senses in the Bible. But, never does it mean that God has a wife and produces offspring. It's ludicrous to think that. The Term "Son of God" occurs 47 times in the King James New Testament. In reference to Jesus, it is a title as the heavenly, eternal Son who is equal to God the Father (John 5:18-24). It is Jesus who fully reveals the Father (Matt. 11:27). He is the exact representation of the Father (Heb. 1:1-3), He possesses all authority in heaven and earth (Matt. 28:18), and Jesus had glory with the Father before the world was made (John 17:5). Jesus called Yahweh God His Father quite often, which tells me that He is God's Son. Common sense tells you that. The Muslim is taught from the Qur'an and therefore cannot accept the fact that Jesus is divine. To the Muslim, that is shirk, blasphemy of the worst kind. But believing it doesn't make it so. To the Christian, and according to the Bible, Jesus is the one who alone saves us from our sins. We cannot earn our way to heaven, perform enough good works to please God, or ever be "sincere enough" in repentance to somehow obtain forgiveness from God. Instead, Christianity is a faith in God's great love and sacrifice for His creation. Jesus, the Son of God, is the divine one who fulfilled prophecies, walked on water, healed the sick, and rose from the dead. Only the Son of God can do these things.

The God the Jews and Christians believe in is the same one.Judaism is nearly 4,000 years old.Islam was founded by Muhammad in 610 AD, and is only 1,399 years old.The Christians believe Jesus is the son of their God and Christianity is 2,009 years old.Allah is not the same God as the Jews and Christians believe in as much as they would like to say he is!!

The Quran and the Bible are different works of fiction. So is the Torah. Some Christians say Jesus was Son of God, but Muslims don't agree. Christians say Jesus was the Messiah, but Judaists disagree. And so it goes. People argue passionately about which book of fiction is the correct one. None of them are true, of course.
