Why dose a cut on the head always seem, to bleed so much more than other places?

Its because your body has to keep pumping blood round your head much more forcefully than the rest of your body. As your head is at the top of your body and your brain and lungs are the most important bits half of your heart is dedicated to your head.

Because the scalp is rich with blood vessels, so even a minor cut there can bleed profusely.

because the head is very vascularized ~ theres lots of blood vessels close to the surface of the skin. the human body was designed to pump alot of blood to your head ~ the brain requires lots of oxygenated blood for proper functioning.
