Yes, aside from the sugar in soda, it has an acid base. Acid is terrible for the enamel on your "pearly whites". If you must drink soda, use a straw. That goea for citris juices too. Once your enamel is gone, it is gone.

Sure, it's loaded with citric, carbonic and phosphoric acid. All these will eat away at tooth enamel, the more the exposure (consumption) the greater the damage. Not to mention the potentially harmful artificial sweeteners, especially aspartame. www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-Cola
