I'd say The Birds. It's terribly frightening even 45 years later!
-
Psycho

Psycho is very popular, but I think I would go with North by Northwest with Rear Window as my second favorite. The Birds creeped me out as a kid as well.
-
It's a toss-up between Vertigo and Rear Window

I simply would never be able to answer this question. What a testament that is to Sir Alfred Hitchcock!

You had to see Psycho like I did to really understand the terror of it. I was 10, in the show alone and it was a new movie in the late 50's, early 60's and I was TRAUMATIZED!! My grandma dropped me off at the show and had no idea what I was seeing. I couldn't take a shower by myself for years after that. Now, it's not even scary by today's standards.

I think my vote would be with North by Northwest. He had a lot of movies which really were exceptional but the storyline in that is good, heart stopping drama and the photography was incredible.

I'm not really sure, they all affect me really differently! I used to love Psycho when I was younger, I thought the Birds was really funny, Vertigo scared me, and Rebecca I thought was really interesting. I dont think I could possibly pick out of those that I've seen.
-
I liked them all, but Rear Window was particularly good.
-
Without question, Psycho. It's not only Hitchcock's finest film, but one of the best movies ever made, in my opinion. It would be in my top 5.
-
"The Birds" followed by "Vertigo"!

I have to go with Pyscho. The first time I saw that movie I was amazed just by how good it was.
