Being diagnosed with cancer, quite alarming. no joke

Honestly at the moment my life is rather stressful. I I laying in a hospital bed doing to some abdominal pains that cannot be identified after a week. But at least my bloodwork is getting stable. My wife is really tired because she has to deal with me being in the hospital, bills, feeding the pets, etc. At least we both have computer access (my hospital has free WiFi), and we both have cell phones so we can keep in touch. Neither of us can sleep well, so we are both tired. So if I had to pick THE most stressful thing in my life right now. . . I'd say the condition of my liver. It could fail and I would end up leaving my wife a 40ish year old widow.

A tie between school and my mom. Homework makes me stay up late, and tests and grades are always stressful, but my mom yells at everyone in the family all the time, so that's pretty bad too. I know it's probably nothing compared to what most people have to face, though.

Living itself, without my husband here to share my life with - no hugs (not his), no jokes (not ours), no memories, nobody to look out for me. No points needed - but I must say that losing him and facing the next half of my life alone (without him, since he was the love of my life) is highly distressing. I want nothing more than to be with him now, and that I cannot have.

Being struck by lighning over three years ago, I was left with an uncertain future, clouded with short erm cognitive issues let alone my physical ailments. going through rehab and even now, I get stressed out wondering if my family will be ok when it is my time. That being said, i have learned one thing about life --- it is short, and when we are faced with obstacles, we can face it head on or go into a shell. I take every day as a bonus, and for all of you who responded to this question, continued good health and dont stress out over the little or big things ---- we can always find a silver lining some where
