No--I answer it when it is convenient.
-
Nope. I hardly ever answer it until I hear the voicmail.
-
if its the 1-800 crap, no. if its unknown, no
-
No. I answer it when I get to it. Sometimes I can't. I look and see who called. If it is an emergency, I get on it. If it is not, I wait till it is convenient. I can't be inside a mold press with a tool in each hand and answer a call about a dental appointment.
-
No I do not.
-
At work, if I am at my desk, 99% of the time I will. At home, well, kinda funny story, my home phone is a POS and very rarely rings at all. When it does ring it is normally telemarketers, so when the home phone rings 99% of the time I do not even look for it. My cell phone rings almost every time, and I'll check the caller ID to decide if it is answer worthy. 85% of the time, it is.
-
We screen all calls..we also have "Caller I.D.". That is why we have an answering machine..we only answer those calls that are important to us.:)
-
No, just the last time.:)
-
At work, yes. It's part of my job. Unless I'm involved in something more important, like troubleshooting some instrumentation and control equipment that absolutely MUST be fixed prior to some testing schedule (read: crisis management) My personal phone? No, not unless I'm expecting an important call. I'm not a slave to my cell phone like most everybody else I see. I don't answer during meal time. I don't answer during other socially 'rude' times. I don't answer when I'm busy with something else. If it's important, a message will be left. If it's not important enough to leave a message, then it's not important enough for me to have wasted my time answering in the first place.
-
Yes, because it's my mobile!
-
Only at work, I am a receptionist.....its the main reason why I don't answer the phone when I'm at home, because I am off the clock....lol
-
The work phone yes, the cell I pick and choose
-
Ec's got caller ID on the TV screen, what a great invention yo...
-
No.
-
No my son answers it.:-)+
-
Even if I don't somebody else in the house does or it goes on to the answering machine and I call back .
-
no, some times I don't make it to the phone on time! :)
-
no sometimes i don't answer it in the afternoon b/c no one i know would call me then it's usually those pesky telemarketers for once i would like to harass them into buying something they don't need
-
At work, yes...every time. It's my job! At home, I check caller i.d. first.
-
No I do not. I only answer if I want to and if I don't know you (via caller-ID), leave a message and I MIGHT get back to you. Leaving a message on my cell isn’t always the best idea because I check those messages about twice a week, if that. If it's a client, they email me and I generally reply promptly since during the week, my Outlook is open 24 hours. Most of my friends though will either send a text message, email or MySpace message because they know that is the best way to get my attention.
-
Yes, absolutely. I love Company, even on my phone.
-
I hate the noise of a ringing phone. That is why I turned the ringer off. i screen my calls like crazy.
-
No, especially not my home phone. Only people that call that line are advertisers. I also don't answer the phone while I'm driving or having sex.
-
no. I screen the call. If it's someone important i answer it. it not, it goes to voicemail. If they can't be bothered to leave a voice messages, I figure it can't be too important and they can call back. Unfortunately , I have a family member who will call, i don't answer, he will hang up and keep calling every 30 sec. till I answer. If I don't answer..he will finally curse out me out on my voice mail because I don't stay home to answer his phone call (like I have ESP to know when he calls.. he doesn't know I just don't want to talk to him).
-
At home I try to make a point or NOT answering it! It's never for me anyway!
-
I like to answer it when it doesn't ring and then be surprised by the fact that no one's their. Darned pranksters, hanging up on me before it rings?
-
Not at home, no. There are times when I just don't want to talk to anyone - I wish there was a Do Not Disturb signal for phones!
-
Usually yes, I answer it. But often if I'm not expecting a call and I'm not near it, I'll just let it ring. If it's important they'll call later. It's so rare for it to ring anyway, and I hate answering it, especially lately, it's all junk calls.
-
Hellllll no.
-
I SELDOM answer the phone when it rings. I have caller ID, an answering machine and voice mail. Who needs to answer?
-
No, I screen my calls with one exception. When my son is deployed, I answer every call since I never know what caller ID will show for his phone calls. I don't want to miss one.
-
I never answer it when it rings (hardly, anyway). I always call the person back.
-
hello, with my elderly parents ill ( and one bedridden) its got to e either me or the health care aide that answers the phone,i was told by the aide, not to allow my dad to answer the phone.
-
at work i have to...it's my job. at home, no...that's what caller id is for...to screen my calls!
-
Na sometimes I can't be bothered talking to people so i just leave it.
-
no. I have call display...I only answer if I want to.
-
only at work - im phone-phobic
-
Not at all, I have a reputation for only answering my phone about 10% of the time and it pisses people off when they are trying to get in contact. To be honest I always have my phone on silent mode because I always have something better to do. But i check regulary for text messages.
-
Usually, unless I am very busy.
-
WHEN I'M HERE
-
Yes, because I find the sound of the phone ringing very annoying.
-
Most times, yes. Sometimes I am up to my elbows in a project and can't answer, other times I want alone time and don't want to talk with anyone. Cell phones have the great ability to take messages and if ID shows it's someone I can call later,I'll let them leave a message.
-
"I sometimes answer it on time!!During ring!!If not, I'll return the call no later than fifteen!!"
-
No.
-
No - I would guess I screen out about 75% of callers.
-
Since God made caller I.D., I never answer the phone ever.
-
+5 no
-
Hell no. I answer less than half the calls I get. I'm not much of a phone talking person.
-
No, most of the time its my kids who need a babysitter. When I tell them NO, they become angry. I will watch the grandkids when I want to, I am not a grandma who like to babysit on demand.

-
I do at work, but not at home. My job requires ALOT of talking, so when I get home I'm all talked out. When I'm home I just let the answering machine get it.
-
Nope...it depends upon what I'm in the middle of.
-
No, I hardly ever answer it actually
-
I look at caller I.D. and seldom answer unless it is a friend of mine.
-
Home phone.....hardly ever. Cell phone....I'll look and then decide if I want to engage in the conversation.
-
Hi, Have a pbx phone systems installed for home or office and have an auto-attendant, voicemessage or a caller display to intercept calls and prevent you from being disturbed. This way you don't need to answer every rings.
-
I use a phone spam blocker.
-
we use land line mostly so yes
-
I usually answer only when it is someone on my call list. I cancel the call if there is only a number rather than let it ring through to the answering machine. I know I sometime miss important calls but that is better than all the robo calls and sales calls. Because I don't let them ring through, I get only a few calls each day.
-
I don't always answer it the minute it rings.
-
I screen my calls with my ans. machine and caller ID.
-
yes
-
no. Only if I know the caller.
-
Oh no way! Too many calls are simply recorded spam trying to get me to buy something! 1/4/23
-
No, I check my caller ID first before I decide to answer a phone call.
-
Most of the time I answer my phone. Sometimes I could be in the middle of something or listening to music through my headphones unaware of a call which I’ve noticed a while later on the missed calls.. Sometimes there are international calls that I never answer because they are a scam. I know that they are a scam because I answered those calls the first few times and then I stopped. I could be in my job when there is somebody calling me on the phone but I am not supposed to be on my phone when I am working.
-
NO...I only answer numbers that I recognize. I also check any number that I don't recognize to see IF it's a SCAM number. If it is, I block from ringing in again!!!
-
No. Caller ID and Robocaller help determine if I answer the call.
