I know a girl who is a Jehovah Witness and she refused to pray at a bible study. Do Jehovah's Witnesses not believe in prayer? why not?

It could have been that she was not comfortable with praying out loud in front of a group. This is usually something done by the brothers in our congregations, as it is a bible teaching.

So just because you knew 1 person who didn't want to pray at a particular time...you conclude that all 7 million witnesses don't pray? Eph 6:17 and 18 states carry on in prayer..we as true Christians Pray on just about anything. So yes we do pray In the future try not to base your conclusions about a religion race group etc etc on one person.

Jehovah's Witness do believe in prayer, and the ones I've met are really good hearted people, but their doctrines are false and their Bible, NWT has been translated to fit their doctrines. It's not their fault though, they have been misled by the Watchtower Society.

Yes that is a good question,, and yes we do believe in prayer , the girl must have had a reason , also when J.W'S do come to your door ask them for a Bible they will be willing to give you one also ask for 'What does the Bible teach 'book , it answers a lot of questions many people wonder about ,, to name a few chapters,,.. What is the truth about God,,..What is God's purpose for the earth ,..Who is Jesus Christ ,..,What is God's kingdom ..,Are we living in the last days,.. Why does God allow suffering ..Where are the dead.., that is just a few chapters but each is very interesting and answered through the Bible ..Let's know how you get on .

Did you ever get the new world translation of the Bible from the J.W's, if so how are you finding it . Why not have a bible study , you will learn so much about the Bible ?

Yes, we believe in prayer. There might be occasions, though, when a Christian woman would have to cover her head to pray. Perhaps that's why the girl didn't offer prayer.
