Will someone PLEASE convince my child that it's OKAY to be born today? I've put in my 40 weeks. I'm done.

LOL....You poor thing, try walking , I went to the mall and walked a few laps and that night I went into labor, also, spicy foods can help (so I hear)

lol I was just sitting here like "hasn't she had that baby YET?!" Count your blessings, though. Both of our kids were born early. One 5 weeks early, one at 37 weeks. The difference between the two as far as how good they were at nursing, getting the jaundice out, etc was like night and day.

Start the fire alarm! AROOOOGAH!! THIS IS NOT A DRILL, EVERYBODY OUT!! AROOOOGAH!! PLEASE LEAVE VIA THE NEAREST EXIT IN A CALM AND ORDERLY FASHION!! AROOOOGAH!! EVERYBODY OUTTA THERE!! If that doesn't work, I'm stumped.

Today would be a great day to be born. Tomorrow would be a great day too and my hubby can attest to that, as he was born on Aug. 4.

LOL...I have about 2.5 weeks to go with my fourth pregnancy and quite uncomfortable so I can TOTALLY understand your impatience, but induction is more painful and full-term babies have great Agpar scores. If you are sleeping okay still, take advantage of that rest and sleep. Really. :)

Dear Lady A's Child, Your mother is uncomfortable and has been looking forward to your arrival for 40 weeks. Please be considerate and be born already! :) Your mother is a very wise woman with a great sense of humor. Trust me, it will be better for you to get to know her sooner than later. You'll love her. I know, honey (pats Lady A) I remember that point well. You can try walking, its supposed to help. At that point I was telling my child, "You need to come out" like a mantra. If its your first, all those ligaments and muscles need to stretch, and you do NOT want that to happen fast. But the more time you spend walking, the more gravity can help you. Have you started dialating yet? Has the baby dropped?

Unfortunately, it's not quite that simple. A due date is a target, not an absolute. It could happen shortly before or shortly after. If it's more than a week, they'll likely induce labor.

Dear Baby, Time's up. You have floated about comfortably, examined your tiny hands, sucked your thumb, tussled about and sucked the calcium right out of your mother's teeth. It's time to come out and face the music :) Be a good baby, now, and introduce your self to your mother. She has been dying to see you and hold you!

induced laughter is a trick of mine but induced labor is slavery... i will not partake in such a terrible thing :)

Four of my five were a month overdue. The one that was a month early had difficulties. I hope all goes well for you!
