I almost never wear pants because of a disability. I wore cutoff Levis 505s a few weeks ago when I was visiting relatives in Florida.

I was visiting my sister in 2005. I was wearing a fine pair of sand-coloured cotton trousers. I said something to irritate my sister, who is given to broad gestures when emotionally excited. She gave me push which jogged the arm in the hand of which was a large glass of red wine that spilt all over my trousers. I was only visiting for a few days and had not had the foresight to bring a spare pair of trousers with me. My sister, who is statuesque, lent me a pair of her jeans. I wore them while my trousers were being washed. That is the only time in my life that I have worn denim jeans. The only positive part of the experience was the discovery that my waist is the same size as my sister's. I am a few inches taller than she is, but of course I haven't had four children.

When I hoed corn on my parents' farm. I only wear them for such work. They were intended to be cheap and durable pants for manual laborers. I just buy cheap ones at Walmart.
